Whaley: 'Nobody has called Bills about Spiller'
SJDK replied to qblax16's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't want to lose the guy. He really doesn't want to get traded, you can tell he got down about the rumors. I think that's why he's putting off getting an agent. He doesn't want to have someone make the team think he's not happy or play hardball. Despite what he said about talking to Byrd, I think he would take a hometown discount to stay. I am expecting he'll play with his hair on fire and it will be a monster year for him. -
I think I want to win that game worse than any game outside the division. It just feels like we lose the game I want us to win the most every year. I hope we win and we should for all the points you made, Yolo. I just made 1st impression "gut" picks. My earliest predictions are usually my best, had to get them on "the record". After a big dose of cool-aid before regular season week one, i look at it again and I'm usually further off than this time of year. It's the NFL though and our injuries and the other teams injuries change everything as the weeks roll by so all I can say is I hope we stay healthy!

Seriously..we don't need a tight end. Did anyone actually see Ebron the other day? I'm so glad we didn't take him. We are fine with what we have at tight end. I would not trade one of the scariest backs in the league for a tight end or an OLB. I said scary because Spiller is sometimes more of a threat as a decoy. BTW CJ is a third down back. they have him and Fred twisted. Once our coaches figure that out we will be on the right track with CJ.

If I could change 1 thing about E J
SJDK replied to Niagara Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, I think the attitude is part of being confident. He needs to get that fire going, same one he had in that FSU locker room speach. BTW, Kelly always had the coat on and his hands in the hand warmer on the field. -
Not sure at all. That's why they play them games bra

Haha, so let me get this strait: predictions after preseason week 2- way too early! Are you nuts?!. After preseason wk3- alright, perfect time to predict. #amiright That's some legit comedy there, I'll admit it's usually a short powerful exhale when I laugh while reading alone. I really did a rare lol at that!

It's a prediction, I'm not revising anything
-
OH NO! What if this is another 6-3 game?
-
I just suspect that the defense in Cleveland will be very tough and he will probably be able to mess with EJ and Hackett pretty bad.
-
I could see us easily getting beat by chicago and swept by New England for 8-8. But I think that I was looking at it as objectively as possible.
-
I guess I'm predicting it will be a shock in the national media, but I think they are better than last year and they will probably have a good record at that point in the season.

Rodak looks like the cambell's soup kid grown up. I hope Fred isn't too p.o.'d about this pittsburgh trip, that was so out of character

Chicago Media- Bills are an Easy Win
SJDK replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am pretty sure they will get some big plays on offense but they have some pretty poor safety play on defense. They are old on defense and as long as we account for Briggs and Allen in pass protection we could hit on some deep throws, it could be a shoot-out. I think we win 31-28 in a very EARLY prediction. -
EJ Staring Down Receivers/Looking Off Defenders

This is what EJ haters do, and yes it's annoying.. -

We were 6-10, that's reality. We should be underdogs in just about every game we play. That's fine by me, let everyone overlook us. By my estimation that would take some national media pressure off EJ and we can be a silent assassin out of the AFC east. BTW just watched some B.S. bleacher report clip from 3 jokers who haven't even watched our preseason games... 4-12 predictions... EJ looks terrible... if you want to get angry at a bunch of pretend journalists then watch that (site will not allow link, sorry) -
Word. People used to complain about Kelly ALL THE TIME! Let this kid play it out for crying out loud. All these guys were the ones calling for Fitz when he was a backup and then calling for Fitz's backup as soon as he had a bad game. I trust Whaley over all of the people on this board. He is smart and he wants to win.

Agreed, they aren't showing it in preseason but Watkins and Goodwin on opposite sides with Williams or woods in the slot will be money in the bank. Both corners and both safeties will have to look deep, it will open up the run ( if they run go routes on the outside). When the bring a safety down in the box then you'll have single coverage on a go route to that side... I'll throw that one 10/10 times

good, I just want to see marrone in a better mood

I think he is responding to the criticism he received last year about his "wordy" responses and willingness to give the media as much as he dared. Look at how he looks to that other guy when they ask him about injuries now, he's been coached. He's going completely opposite now and the fact that Hackett acts a bit free spirited and goofy at times must eat at him with how the offense performed. I think he bites his tongue with his assistants too much (Hackett) and it bothers him a lot. I know that when I have a talented employee that has pissed me off I'll do this rather than blow up on occasion. He has to light a fire under Hackett and EJ. EJ needs to be as ticked off as Marrone is and he won't be any good until he is in my opinion.
