  1. that's our guy, if you ask me
  2. I hope we keep spiller. I also hope we Draft David Johnson RB northern Iowa and cut brown. The other skill position I'd like is Funchess and I think roman would like him a lot to pair with chandler
  3. I don't think their is anyone out there who is a proven upgrade to EJ and EJ is younger. I say give him a full season and if he plays poorly/we don't make the playoffs then dump him
  4. Bring back Chuck Dickerson...
  5. yup, the Bears look like they won't be needing Jared Allen
  6. probably that's all it is. Some analysts were convinced that the Vikings would dump him due to public backlash and that Dallas would get a discount because of his interest and then drop Murray because of price
  7. report: http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?storyId=11420073&src=desktop
  8. based on in season comments, I could see Peterson getting picked up by Jerruh in Dallas. And Murray being available... That would be awesome... Gurley is long gone by 50
  9. i'm saying college coaches aren't preparing these kids for the pro's. Are you saying they are? pretty legit thought
  10. I think their are better FA receivers to chose from. I would say get another good guard like Iupati and a QB. Those are more pressing needs. It'd be nice to get those taken care of first
  11. i know Florida state QB's are being drafted high but I think it's becoming apparent that their system doesn't translate to the pro's. Ponder, EJ and Winston is about to be picked high but I think we can all see his train wreck coming a mile away. Their system hasn't put out a pro-ready product despite the wins they have put together in the program. Also, USC hasn't done much for their QB's either but they are closer than many schools Leinart, Barkley and Palmer. Palmer did the best as a pro so far but I don't think he really met the expectations many had. All that being said, I don't expect great QB's to be coming out of college like in ridiculous numbers or anything but the struggle these kids have in the pro's is very real with very few exceptions over the past 10 years or so.
  12. Agreed, maybe its a problem that the defenses aren't good enough to expose this, more of the good HS kids should play defense. I took a lot of pride in it myself. I think a resurgence of press man coverage coupled with relaxing the rules on PI and defensive holding calls is needed to push the college offenses away from the read option & spread stuff (due to more people on the line of scrimmage
  13. It seems like a few schools do it right. Stanford, the ones Yolo mentioned, but if I'm a QB who wants to play in the pro's (and play well), I've got very few options. Not some big names like USC, Florida, Florida state... It seems like there has to be a reason we haven't seen a paradigm shift in offensive philosophy, is their a college rule I don't know about that is keeping this spread stuff alive? Why would a good HS QB go to one of these schools that won't have him pro ready?
  14. Seriously, what are the colleges doing that isn't producing pro-style/pro ready QB's? Is their anyone in the CFL?? I was seriously thinking about that today... SMH
  15. hmm, didn't know It was torn... Touché! I still wouldn't want him at this point, I don't know that anyone is necessarily better but I'd like to see someone grow in the system.
  16. I don't want manning, he has a noodle arm now. No way, not even worth a season. He had good numbers overall last year but by the end of the season his arm strength was gone and I don't think it was all because of thigh bruises. No thanks
  17. Out of them all, I guess mallett, and Ej starts
  18. the funny thing about TSW is that you get trolled by the people on here hard when you are a new member, even by the mods. All for giving an opinion that they don't agree with. The way that guy was treated was an example of trolling. I got the same treatment when I said the Bills should trade back and take Kelvin Benjamin because I felt Watkins would be injury prone. unfortunate when people troll those whom they accuse of trolling
  19. I agree, Doug Whaley has moved the needle. Nobody else has in the past 10 years. He is the most important person in this organization. 1- I hope we get the guard from Seattle or Iupati. Cut Urbick and Pears to pay him. 2- Let Hughes walk. 3- Sign spiller (cheap).4- Let spikes walk ( not worth the money but love him). 5- Re-sign Searcy. 6- If a gem of a tight end falls on our lap (draft) then take him... Otherwise we have bigger fish to fry. 7- Bring in a QB to challenge ( EJ will be fine with a good line IMO).8- Draft a RB
  20. I would like to keep the D the same but I think we let hughes walk because of price. We keep Spiller and Searcy. Sign a couple good guards. boom
  21. the way the rules were at the time, I think he just would have got knocked around even more than he did.
  22. Maury Povich: Richard, you are......... NOT the father! Tom Brady: (turns, covers face. goes out side exit)
  23. I think that every pick in this draft should be an offensive guard or quarterback. If we lose spiller then throw a RB in there. totally serious.
  24. ...and should end Friday. Who am I kidding, this will get stretched out for at least a year
