  1. Maybe, but these two men were the furthest things from idiots.
  2. Calendar has flipped, Steve Tasker warned Miami, It might be chilly
  3. Taylor Hall scouting report from 2008.
  4. From John Vogel’s Twitter. Hopefully not a long-term injury. Victor Olofsson has left practice after crashing hard into the post. He and Rasmus Dahlin were doing one-on-one drill at full speed. Olofsson went down, hit the post and both he and the net went all the way to the end boards. Olofsson left favoring his left arm. 10:29 AM · Jan 2, 2021·Twitter for iPhone Carter Hutton gives loud stick taps and shouts “Ollie!” as Victor Olofsson returns from the trainers’ room. “I’m good,” Olofsson replied when a teammate asked if he’s all right. The Victor Olofsson roller coaster continues. He has not come out for the second half of practice following the ice resurfacing. Olofsson continually wiggled his left wrist when he returned earlier. 3/3
  5. Out for Wk 17 and maybe 1st Rd of playoffs. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1345125350045577217?s=20
  6. If this news is true, it calls for a nice steak to celebrate.
  7. Just burned through that, too. I agree that the first few episodes weren't up to snuff, but the last few were more reminiscent of the earlier seasons.
  8. Exactly! I thought that the thread was going to ask the question, "What's your favorite oxymoron?"
  9. Yeah, they said it was sustained while training. On a positive note: From Mike Harrington's Twitter - First shot, first drill. Taylor Hall just went bar down on poor Jonas Johansson.
  10. Some New Year's Humor They say New York City has the best New Year's celebration, but I say it's overrated. Every year they drop the ball. My New Year's resolution was to read more, so I turned on the subtitles on my TV. "Youth is when you’re allowed to stay up late on New Year’s Eve. Middle age is when you’re forced to." - Bill Vaughan I was going to give up all of my bad habits for the new year, but then I remembered that no one likes a quitter. At the beginning of the year, I made a resolution to lose 15 pounds. Only 20 more to go! I'm not buying a 2021 calendar until I see the trailer. We can't let this year end: That would be admitting that 2021.
  11. Jack Eichel, upper body injury, and Linus Ullmark, Immigration/Quarantine Issue, both held out of Sabres 1st practice. Let's hope it's not a bad omen to the season.
  12. Derry Girls on Netflix is a terrific show with great writing. It took the wife and I an episode or two to get the flow of the Irish accents, but we then tore through the two seasons in a few days of binging. Sadly, season 3 is delayed due to Covid. Also, we're in the second season of The Good Place. I know some of you recommended it earlier in this thread, I'm sorry that it took me so long to get around to it. It is fantastic. Ted Danson and Kristin Bell are both stellar. Another show with very clever writing.
  13. The Dolphins signed Jake Rudock (24 career passing yards) to be Tua's back-up for the game. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/2582424/jake-rudock
  14. Take a victory lap @eball, you deserve it. Looking forward to your playoff prediction.
  15. “We’re on to irrelevance.”
  16. She was such a beauty and always came across as real and sincere in her interviews. RIP, Dawn. You always had it over Ginger for me.
  17. Does having 6,700 fans at the games change your thoughts on going all out in the Miami game to get the #2 seed?
  18. Nice work, @Shaw66. Your writing is spot on and well appreciated.
  19. McDermott will do his Zoom with the media around 4:30 PM, any update will come then.
  20. If it makes you feel better Kern is from Grand Island and grew up a Bills fan. His Dad owns and operates the NIagara Falls Power, a minor league baseball team that plays at Sal Maggie Stadium in NIagara Falls.
  21. Is there any doubt that Brian Daboll badly wants the “most players on one team to catch a TD in a season” record? Throwing to the 4th string running back. That should have been number 14 right there, beautiful ball by Josh. I think he’ll take another shot at it next week if the game circumstances allow.
  22. Winner, winner. It’s Jay North alright.
