I work until 5 PM ☹️ What’s with these Saturday afternoon preseason games? I kinda liked the Thursday night slot. If all of you would be so kind as to not discuss any details of the game until Saturday night, it would be much appreciated. 😀

Not exactly what you asked, but I was watching something called the World Chase Championship (I’m not making that up) last week on ESPN 2. It was in Akron, OH. It’s sort of an elaborate, timed, game of tag where one player runs on tables and platforms and tries to avoid the other team’s chasing player. As they were nearing commercial they panned to the audience and this guy represented for Bills Mafia. I had to freeze the frame and take his photo.

Found this great anecdote in ESPN’s Dan Graziano’s report on NFL training camps. When he visited the Bills camp he witnessed Daboll conduct the following exercise. It’s really brilliant. You always see teams that are up one year and down the next. We have to make sure that's not us." An example of how the coaches are delivering that message: Offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, in a meeting early in camp, asked every offensive player and coach to stand up. "If you're a coach and you've ever been fired, sit down," Daboll said, and every coach in the room sat down. "OK," Daboll continued. "If you're a player and you've ever been cut or traded, sit down."
