Wilson is just a 15-minute drive from Lockport. The Canal cruise is wonderful. My wife and I really enjoy eating on the patio of Shamus Restaurant. http://www.shamuslockport.com Then we like to head over (5 minutes) to have dessert at Lake Effect Artisan Ice Cream, which has outside tables overlooking the Erie Canal. Lots of great flavors, but my current fav is London Fog which features an Earl Grey Tea Base with chocolate covered toffee pieces. http://www.lakeeffecticecream.com Also, Wagner’s Restaurant in Lockport is a hole-in-wall throwback that features phenomenal beef on weck and wings that rival much more heralded places like Gabriel’s Gate and Bar Bill Tavern (yeah, I said it) https://www.wagnersrestaurant.com

One of the catchiest tunes from the ‘80s.

Most of the greats have already been mentioned, but here is a current artist who is just fabulous. These two songs show off the incredible range of his voice.

This is a great video of Josh’s best throws from last season. In watching it I was reminded of something that occurred to me a few times during games last fall. After he catches a TD, Gabriel Davis drops the ball quicker than any WR that I’ve ever watched. It’s almost as if he’s playing an imaginary game of “Hot Potato” with himself. I worried on a few occasions that the TD would be nullified due to the NFL’s overly-complex “what constitutes a catch” rules. Did anyone else also think that maybe he should hold onto the ball for an extra second or two just to be safe?

Your Favorite Telemarketer Tip-Off
ChevyVanMiller replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in Off the Wall
If the number appears to be a telemarketer I answered by saying “Frank’s pizzeria how can I help you?“ Sometimes they still try to go into their pitch. If they do, I say “This is Frank’s pizzeria, can I help you? We’re really busy I don’t have time for this.“ That usually gets rid of them. Another technique is I let them make the initial pitch and then I say “Let me stop you right there. I need to know, is this offer is still good for prisoners of the state of New York? I go in for sentencing tomorrow and I’m pretty sure I’m going to get 10 to 14 with no chance for parole. Listen this doesn’t concern you, but the Beeatch had it coming. I’ve got no regrets. But getting back to you, I would love to take advantage of it, do you ship to Attica?” I never hear back from them for some reason. -

Janis Ian is correct, but the song that garnered the death threats was Society’s Child. Many parts of America weren’t ready for interracial relationships in 1967.

Not Judy. Here’s a hint: she received death threats for a song that she wrote when she was just 15.
-
Not Suzy. More folk, soft rock.
-
Not Annie, but she is a singer.

Winner, winner chicken dinner. (or, in this case, meatloaf dinner)

One more member of the Evil Empire gone. Thank God I’ve lived long enough to see this new era unfold. Long live Josh, long thrive the Buffalo Bills.

What habit have you ever broken?
ChevyVanMiller replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
Reminds me of an old joke: I went to my doctor last week and he told me that I had to stop master bating. I asked him, “Why?” He said, “Because I’m trying to examine you.“ -
Bills players you disliked
ChevyVanMiller replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure if he’s been mentioned because I haven’t read through the entire thread, but the only Bill that I ever detested was Reggie Rogers. He was convicted of driving drunk and killing three teenagers prior to his stint with the Bills. That after being the seventh overall pick in his draft class. He played one year for the Bills, 1991, and was the complete polar opposite of what you would call a “process guy.” I was shocked when John Butler signed him and delighted when he was let go. He was a guy that completely squandered his talent and brought great misery to the families of those unfortunate teens. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggie_Rogers -
