  1. Selling my Bobby Hart action figure. Serious inquiries only.
  2. Inside two minutes, should have been an automatic review by the refs.
  3. Mcdermott made the right call going for it, just wasn’t in the cards tonight. I still say Josh had the first on the scramble on the play before.
  4. Favorite quote, “In this league some people figure it out and some people get figured out.“
  5. This young actor learned of a planned biopic of the late, great Robin Williams and filmed this “Mork and Mindy” era scene, with an actress playing Pam Dawber, to campaign for the role. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen anyone nail an impersonation/depiction like he has. Aside from being Williams’ doppelgänger, he has the acting chops to show the pain that lived within the outwardly funny soul of Robin Williams. I really hope his gambit pays off and he gets the role.
  6. Your local tax dollars hard at work...
  7. RIP Cindy. You left an indelible imprint on this board that will always be cherished and never forgotten.
  8. Heck, I started the thread thinking it would garner comments about one player at the top of his sport acknowledging another who is ascending to that spot in his own. How naive I was...

  10. Thanks @StHustlefor breaking this story right here, a full week before the national media got hold of it.
  11. Your opening sentence is begging for a second subject, don’t let its’ pleas go unheard. 😀
  12. After Trent, Fitz, Nate We finally got our guy Beane is a wizard
  13. My condolences. I lost my mom two years ago next month at the age of 73. We hadn’t heard from her in two days and I was calling both her home and her cell phone with no results. She had moved into a senior apartment complex a couple of years before. I drove out there pounding on her door and got no response. One of the worst moments came when I then called her cell phone and could hear it ringing from inside the apartment. She had died in her sleep the day before. I don’t know what’s worse, having a sudden death like my mom or a lingering one like yours. I only know that both leave a hole that will never be filled. May your mom live on forever in your heart and may the memories that the two of you shared always bring you comfort and joy.
  14. True story: I put Marty’s aunt and uncle on a Niagara Falls sightseeing tour a few years back. They were from Quebec, so I mentioned Marty and asked if they were related. They told me who they were and I said that he seems like a real nice guy, but he sure does go on and on. His aunt rolled her eyes and said, “He gets that from my sister.” 😀
  15. Dahlin extended. That will help them get closer to the salary floor. https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-agree-to-terms-defenseman-rasmus-dahlin-to-3-year-contract/c-326250794
  16. Peters and Rivet walk away from WGR550 and “The Instigators” show. https://theathletic.com/2837543/2021/09/20/hosts-of-sabres-talk-show-the-instigators-andrew-peters-and-craig-rivet-leave-the-show/ (Paywall) The shakeup of the Sabres is continuing off the ice, too. Andrew Peters and Craig Rivet, hosts of the team’s daily talk show, “The Instigators,” have left the program. “We will be going in a different direction, but we are very excited about our new adventure,” Rivet told The Athletic, adding that further information will be coming soon. Peters and Rivet have hosted “The Instigators” since 2016. The retired Buffalo players brought a mix of on-ice experience, light-hearted banter and insider guests to the show, which is produced by Pegula Sports and Entertainment. Sabres analysts Martin Biron and Brian Duff will take over as permanent hosts of “The Instigators,” which is not expected to be rebranded.
  17. There’s a little Justin Trudeau in there, too.
  18. I think the final is 56-0 Bills and fans are still complaining that Josh looked “off.”
  19. He also said something like, “That was a Curly from the Three Stooges ‘woot-woot-woot‘ play. Not that anybody knows who that is anymore.“
