The problem with that theory is that the Bills can pick him up for this season only. As I understand it he can be cut after the season with the Bills taking just a minimal cap hit. Now, a rental player is not worth one 1st, let alone multiples, so the Panthers would have to be willing to settle for a much smaller draft bounty.

I think the kick-off should be high and down to about the five. The Bills have a great special teams coverage unit and would probably make the tackle inside the 20-yard line while taking seven or eight seconds off of the clock. Also, on the second play from scrimmage they should simply have tackled all of the wide receivers at the line of scrimmage. The result would be a 5-yard penalty while taking enough time off the clock that the Chiefs would’ve had no opportunity for the field goal.

Must admit I love when Nance and Romo call our games…
ChevyVanMiller replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
How about Romo saying early in the game, "I don't think this is going to be a high scoring game like everyone is predicting. I think it will be more like a 24-20 type score?" Pretty wild. -
What song describes how you feel about tomorrow's game?

The waiting is the hardest part. -
Speaking of goaltending, Anderson stopped three fully-clear breakaways last night. If he doesn't come up big it's a different outcome. Don't know how long his body will hold up, but he was stellar last night.

That’s wonderful. I ran into Rick last week coming out of a supermarket in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He was wearing a fleece vest with a Sabres logo. I said, “ Hi, RJ, great seeing you here.” He responded with, “Nice to see you, Tiger.” Great moment.

What's your all time favorite NFL play by play call?
ChevyVanMiller replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
It will happen on February 12th, 2023. FOX play by play man Kevin Burkhardt is on the call. "It's 4 and 1 from the 1-yard line and the Bills are foregoing the tying FG and are going for it right here. Josh Allen is under center, he takes the snap and fakes the handoff to Singletary. He rolls to his left and is going to try and bootleg it into the endzone. Eagles linebacker T.J. Edwards closes in. Allen trucks him into the turf and Superman dives to the pylon. The Bills win, the Bills win their first Super Bowl in dramatic fashion. Rejoice Western New York, you have Lombardi and no one can ever take it away." -

Allen is the Bills only short yardage option
ChevyVanMiller replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here's a great article on the probability of picking up a first down on 3rd or 4th and 1 yard situations. A QB sneak is far and away the best option. A FB quick hitter is the only other option that has a good success rate. Handing the ball off to Zach Moss did not chart. https://sports.sites.yale.edu/success-short-yardage-play-types-fourth-down -
What an amazing lady and performer. This song is sort of the antithesis to Dolly Parton's "Jolene." RIP Loretta.

NFL WEEK #4 - Bills At Ravens - 2nd Half Thread

I think the correlation between Moss getting a carry and the series going 3 and out is pretty high. That experiment needs to end -

Purely from a musical standpoint, this one is supreme. That bass line, wow! -
The Ravens opened the season with a 24-9 victory over the Jets. In week two, they suffered that massive 4th quarter letdown and lost to Miami 42-38. Last week they beat the *Patriots 37-26. This week, of course, they host the Bills meaning they will have played the entirety of the AFC East in consecutive weeks to start the season. I don't ever recall seeing anything like that before. Here's to hoping we make sure they do not survive their AFC East sojourn with a winning record. 2022 Baltimore Ravens Schedule | ESPN

Update: Xavier Rhodes signed by Bills

Unbelievable. We cannot catch a break with injuries this year. Even guys coming out of near retirement are pulling hammies.
