  1. Also, when Olive Garden is busy with a long wait time for a table, ask to sit at the bar. Usually, you get seated immediately and your food comes out faster because it's not waiting on a waitress with multiple tables to attend to.
  2. You only get to be a victim once - after that you're a volunteer.

  4. A few days ago I asked him to use paragraph breaks and he has complied ever since. Bravo @Buffalo Super Fan. It's greatly appreciated.

  6. The final track recorded for Revolver, ‘She Said She Said’ was inspired by an LSD-influenced conversation between John Lennon and actor Peter Fonda. During The Beatles’ US tour in the summer of 1965, they rented a house in Los Angeles’ Mulholland Drive. On 24 August they played host to Roger McGuinn and David Crosby of The Byrds, and the two parties, apart from Paul McCartney, spent the day tripping on LSD. The actor Peter Fonda arrived at the house, also on acid. He attempted to comfort Harrison, who thought he was dying. “I told him there was nothing to be afraid of and that all he needed to do was relax. I said that I knew what it was like to be dead because when I was 10 years old I’d accidentally shot myself in the stomach and my heart stopped beating three times while I was on the operating table because I’d lost so much blood.” John was passing at the time and heard me saying ‘I know what it’s like to be dead’. He looked at me and said, ‘You’re making me feel like I’ve never been born. Who put all that s**t in your head?’ Lennon recounted the incident in 1980 in one of his final interviews, speaking to a journalist from Playboy magazine. “It’s an interesting track. The guitars are great on it. That was written after an acid trip in LA during a break in The Beatles’ tour where we were having fun with The Byrds and lots of girls. Some from Playboy, I believe. Peter Fonda came in when we were on acid and he kept coming up to me and sitting next to me and whispering, ‘I know what it’s like to be dead.’ He was describing an acid trip he’d been on. We didn’t want to hear about that! We were on an acid trip and the sun was shining and the girls were dancing and the whole thing was beautiful and Sixties, and this guy – who I really didn’t know; he hadn’t made Easy Rider or anything – kept coming over, wearing shades, saying, ‘I know what it’s like to be dead,’ and we kept leaving him because he was so boring! And I used it for the song, but I changed it to ‘she’ instead of ‘he’. It was scary. You know, a guy… when you’re flying high and [whispers] ‘I know what it’s like to be dead, man.’ I remembered the incident. Don’t tell me about it! I don’t want to know what it’s like to be dead!” John Lennon All We Are Saying, David Sheff
  7. The AMC channel did a ranking of scariest movies a few years back, and Jaws was the number one choice. They asked Rob Zombie why he voted for that movie, and he said, “I’ll put it this way. When it came out, I was in middle school in Ohio. My parents took me to see the movie at the local mall. Afterward, we went into a York Steakhouse inside the mall, and I needed to go to the bathroom. I was afraid to sit on the toilet, because I thought a shark was going to come out and bite my ass off.”
  8. Always happy to support a fellow author. Thanks for the tip @muppy
  9. When you go back in time make sure to pay attention in 5th grade English when they talk about the importance of paragraph breaks.
  10. Best photobomb ever? Check out the guy on the raft in the water behind the women.
  11. F*#k all that, we've gotta get on with these Gota compete with the wily Japanese (Gotta get on, gotta get on) No need to worry about the Vietnapeace Gota bring Russian Bear to his knees (Gotta get on) Well, maybe not the Russian Bear, maybe the Swedes We showed Argentina, now let's go and show these (Gotta get on, gotta get on) Make us feel tough and wouldn't Maggie be pleased? **(I'm claiming bonus points for referencing both "Maggie" and "Japan" from the previous two submissions)
  12. No doubt. Looks like Levi is starting and Tage is back, so let's go get this one. Huge swing in playoff % riding on this game. If Sabres win in regulation they go up 10%, if Panthers lose in regulation they drop over 20%.
  13. This is some Jedi Master stuff right here.
  14. Well played, Bills PR Team, well played!
  15. When Joe Marino of the Locked on Bills podcast, did his pre-free agency mock scenario, he had the Bills signing Taylor Rapp to replace Jordan Poyer. He felt that Rapp would be a top flight starter, so getting him now on a one-year deal will hopefully set up an extension so that he can take over for Poyer or Hyde next year.
  16. Iykyk…
  17. That story was a real pain in the glass.
  18. Really? Be a better human. I started the Gofund me, not Darryl. If you would have been sitting with me when he broke down and cried and told me that the outpouring from fans truly saved his life because he was intent on killing himself maybe you’d have a bit more empathy. I’ll tell you this though, if you ever find yourself in such dire straights I’ll be the first one to reach into my pocket to help.
  19. Just Googled Hopkins and look how the headline reads. 🤔
  20. That is great news! This kid has the potential to be the Sabres, long term starter for a decade or longer.
