  1. I think this thought could fit into a half-dozen already open threads.
  2. I agree. They've got too many holes to address in the draft alone. The only concern right now is that they haven't had even one visit scheduled. That's odd for any team with as much $ available as they have.
  3. From ESPN insider concerning Kevin Kolb: Chris Sprow Where the Bills turn at QB "If and when he's released by the Cardinals, Kolb would be worth a close look for this combo-platter role. You don't expect to find stardom where the Cardinals didn't, but consider this: Last season, Kolb saw pressure on an impossibly high 42.4 percent of drop backs, and was sacked on 29.1 percent all drop backs. This is the reason why he survived only 217 of them, per Pro Football Focus. To compare, Fitzpatrick saw pressure at a lower rate than Kolb was sacked, not quite 27 percent of drop backs. The fact is nobody had a chance to succeed at QB for Arizona early in 2012 as they they tried to extinguish the tire fire up front. Kolb is a good option for the competition
  4. Talk is that there's a good chance it will be a North American pope.
  5. I posted this yesterday: Deadspin just reported that the Bills have confiscated GM Buddy Nix's cell phone and issued him two Campbell's Soup cans connected with a string to be used for all future correspondence with other GM during the FA signing period.
  6. The fact that the report is from March 8th would seem to indicate that the Raiders are keeping him. One things they would have cut him yesterday to give him a fair shot with other teams before any FA dollars were spent.
  7. Great signing! Hopefully it brings a few guys in off of the ledge.
  8. Did I miss the memo that the FA signing period was reduced to just 6 hours this year?
  9. Uhhh, the link says Brandon Gibson - not Banks. Big difference. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/12567/brandon-gibson
  10. Quote from Captain Hook's wife?
  11. I don't have an issue with anything Buddy said, but it is a concern that he is so out-of-touch with modern technology that he called the "Tampa GM" back dozens of times. A guy like Belacheat could easily manipulate him for info that could hurt the Bills' plan. I'll be quite happy when the announcement is made that he's passing the torch to Whaley.
  12. Here's the 'girl" he claims to be in love with. http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/denise-milani/images/28735827/title/denise-milani-photo
  13. I'd love to change the world, but I don't know what to do So, I'll leave it up to you... RIP
  14. Foolish question, but how do you post a poll? When I set one up under "Poll manager" nothing shows up under post preview.
  15. Can't say that I know much about him, but a three-year players coming off a career-high season with 79 catches for 806 yards, with 4 TDs. Seems like a good FA target to me. http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/12705/brandon-myers
  16. Very interesting breakdown by the people at pro Football Focus. Bills not as bad as you might think, based on the W-L record. Byrd #1, Levitre #3. Barnett, Scott and Wilson were all good returns on investment. Mario, Kelsey and Fitz worst of the Undervalued players. https://www.profootb...-buffalo-bills/
  17. An ode I wrote to Dr. Suess (and the depressed city of my birth) last year... http://www.niagarafallsreporter.com/croisdale3.6.12.html
  18. Welcome to the board. I think the team will do both - they'll draft a LB in the first 3 Rds and grab a starter in FA. I can't ever remember one position being so depleted on the roster. The fact that they released Barnett clearly put them in a position to overhaul their LBs to fit the new defensive scheme.
  19. I'm all for a player recruiting to the team, but with a brand-new coaching staff and a lame-duck GM what does he really have to pitch?
  20. They're on Me TV (Ch. 67 in Buffalo)
  21. Honeymooners deserves to be at the top of the list. I just started watching reruns again - they now show the "lost" 15 minute episodes from the Jackie Gleason Show -and the timing between Gleason and Carney has never been approached by any other pairing.
  22. Just watched the latest episode on TiVo and I'm just about done. Any show of this ilk requires you to suspend disbelief, but this one takes it to the outer limits. Aside from the many visits in jail already mentioned, what is too hard to swallow is the fact that this guy was able to, from behind bars with limited access, convince so many people to set up, year's in the making, alibis and planning that would allow them to snap into vicious killing mode at his signal. Only, the ex-wife is keeping me coming back at this point. Don't know who the actress is, but she is very easy on the eyes. Nice, you'd think I'd mind my sentence structure better being a writer and all.
  23. Lionsgate has announced the release dates for the final two films in the Hunger Games saga, with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 to hit November 21, 2014 and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2 on track for November 20, 2015. This follows the November 22, 2013 release of Catching Fire.
  24. Nice. Croce was a great songwriter.
