  1. So sorry to hear about this tragic news. All of Western New York mourns for your loss, Marcell!
  2. Not to devolve this down to a food discussion, 5 Wide, but I really miss Vincenzo's too. I'll be doing Trusello's in a future week (maybe with an E. Antonio's comparison).
  3. Sure, it was ugly, but the Bills have plenty of time to turn it around. Here's my thoughts on who showed up and who no-showed. http://niagarahub.com/2012/09/10/bills-thrills-week-1-the-good-the-bad-and-the-ugly/
  4. Yes, but don't forget the stories that surfaced about the '90 team out partying until the wee wee hours prior to Super Bowl XXV - you know how that turned out!
  5. Didn't the team fly to New Jersey on Sat? How could they have been out anywhere here? I know a former DJ from one of the strip clubs in NF, Ont who has a number of stories about former Bills visiting his establishment. This post would seem to suggest something similar - I can't imagine a number of Bills visiting such a place on the eve of the opener.
  6. Thanks for the kind words guys. Will do my best to keep you entertained throughout the season.
  7. PS - If anyone is attending the game I'd love to run a pic from the stadium with Sunday night's column. Thx.
  8. Here is the first of a season-long installment of "Pre-Snap Reads" where I will take a look at the key match-ups in the upcoming game and make a prediction on how well the Bills will do. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Frank http://niagarahub.co...y/nfl-football/
  9. Rex in his glory Bills D-Line will leave the Jets Smelling like a foot
  10. I took a look at the final cuts and put together a team of 26 - 11 starters on both offense and defense and 4 specialists. Do you think this team (with adequate backups and above average coaching) could post at least an 8-8 record? Heck, could they win a single game? Would you trade any current Bills starter for any of these guys? (Two notes: WR was the hardest position as there are many "name" players available. I also chose Wallace over Vince Young, but you might want another shot with Vince instead). QB Seneca Wallace RB Tim Hightower FB Moran Norris WR Deion Branch WR Chad Johnson TE Kellen Winslow C Dan Koppen G Trai Essex G Jake Scott T Reggie Wells T Kareem McKenzie DT Dwan Edwards DT Amobi Okoye DE Vernon Gholston DE Andre Carter OL Clark Haggans OL Matt Roth ML E.J. Henderson CB Drayton Florence CB Alphonso Smith S O.J. Atogwe S/CB Joselio Hanson K John Kasay P Jeremy Kapinos LS Justin Snow KR D.J. Ware
  11. Here is my latest column with my choices for the roster...agree or disagree? http://niagarahub.com/2012/08/31/bills-thrills-by-frank-thomas-croisdale-preseason-finale/
  12. This is much funnier (with Tim Meadows and Will Farrell) http://www.blinkx.com/watch-video/snl-oj-simson-spoof/qwTEVysLRm0addhYghgmZQ
  13. He was in for 3 plays - fumbled the snap on the first one and threw a pick on the 3rd. Otherwise, he looked great on the sidelines.
  14. If I'm not mistaken, Anderson purposely missed all of his kicks in preseason so that the Bills would have no choice but to waive him. The Bills were woeful and he didn't want to play for the team. Despite his amazing career, I think the stigma of that bush league move should have stuck to him far more than it did.
  15. Was out-of-town guys, so didn't get to post this sooner. Hope you enjoy! (And hope the 1st team offense looks better tonight) http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/2012/08/16/bills-thrills-by-frank-thomas-croisdale/ PS - Send me your best Jills' shots and we'll post a new one with each column.
  16. It will come out the day after games - so Monday for most of the season.
  17. Thanks for all of the kind words. I'll expect to get flamed from time-to-time, but I'll work hard to make it a great read. I'll also be giving some TBD and TSW shout-outs. PS - Web site is http://www.niagarahub.com Very Niagara Falls centric stuff.
  18. Awesome! So happy for her!
  19. Haha...it may sound like it, but I truly believe it! I first joined after people from this board knew that Takeo Spikes was going to be a FA and wooed him at the Bills' finale the season before. That spoke volumes about the knowledge of the people on TSW.
  20. Hey Bills' brothers and sisters, After 13 years of writing for the Niagara Falls Reporter I've taken a new position covering the Bills for Niagara Hub. I hope I can bring something new to Bills coverage - namely some of the "tell it like it is" talk that takes place here on TSW. I've been a member here since 2003 and I know first hand, that the people of this board are the most informed Bills' fans on the planet. I will ask, and will greatly appreciate, your input in the columns. Most of all, I hope to provide some humor and a great read. Here is the first installment - please let me know what you think! Bills' Thrills Column Thanks, Frank
  21. Occasionally, there were problems with the Ralph3000 Animatronic NFL Owner unit, but handyman Pete was always there to fuse a wire or tighten a loose screw.
  22. I agree with the main theme of your post, but Wade Phillips was, and still is, a far-more accomplished DC than the "stache.
  23. If we're going to after a veteran newsman I'd rather see us make a play for Brian Williams, but that's just me.
  24. Thought this thread was possibly about the weather forecast and the first day of camp - instead it's just another dunderhead with a computer and way too much time on his hands!
