  1. "If any further proof was needed, yesterday all but cemented the concept that the Bills are lacking in the category of top-tier NFL Quarterback. There were two plays in the game where a competent QB would have put six points on the board with an accurate throw. Ryan Fitzpatrick overthrew both and the Bills came up empty. The difference meant losing the game and losing out on the playoffs – It probably also means that Fitzpatrick will be let go after the season and the Bills next QB will be playing in a bowl game sometime over the next 6 weeks." http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  2. Love your eternal optimism, Senator. I'll second that 14-6!!!!
  3. "If the Colts win on Sunday, the Bills are all but toast. They might not be mathematically eliminated, but for all intents and purposes, they would be done like dinner for 2012. If the Bills can leave Indy with a win, they would pull within 1 game of the Colts with the all-important head-to-head tie-breaker in their back pocket – meaning that they would be essentially just ½ game out of the playoffs." http://niagarahub.co...ning-beat-luck/
  4. Now that he's broken one of Wilt Chamberlain's records, he's hoping to bed 10,001 women for an encore. http://espn.go.com/blog/collegebasketballnation/post/_/id/67739/how-do-you-score-138-points
  5. Agreed JR, Dareus should have been included, too. Nice when there's so many deserving that someone gets left off, isn't it? Hope I have the same problem after the Indy game.
  6. The Hub was, is and will always be 100% free. I think the News is making an error in thinking people will pay for an online service they've received for free for over a decade.
  7. "Number 28 was the best player on the field and one has to wonder why Chan Gailey pulled him off the field on 2nd and 3rd downs so many times in favor for the pedestrian Tashard Choice. That choice probably led to at least two drives ending in Rian Lindell field goals instead of touchdowns, which made for the late fourth quarter dramatics." http://niagarahub.fa...y/nfl-football/
  8. Not to be a wet blanket or anything, but it was the penultimate play in Foxborough - on the final play Brady knelt on the ball for the win.
  9. Of course, you're right - its just sad that it will only happen through death.
  10. "For Bills’ fans it still hurts like hell. In fact, feeling pain that originates from the nether regions of the Earth’s crust is part and parcel with being a devout follower of this God-forsaken team. For a few glorious minutes in the waning ebb of the 4th quarter it actually seemed possible that the Bills were going to score the final TD and win the game by a point. Then – well, you know damn well what happened then – Beelzebub commanded the soul of Fitz to throw a pre-break ball on the game’s climatic play to a rookie that has been treated like a one-legged wallflower by the organization since he was drafted." http://niagarahub.fa...y/nfl-football/
  11. Over 250,000 people are expected in NF, ON on the weekend of Nov. 30th for this wildly-popular speed-skating event sponsored by Red Bull. Check out this 360-degree video of one held in Sweden earlier this year. Have any of you ever seen a Crashed Ice live? http://www.redbull.c...001243174344885
  12. Thanks gentlemen. There's nothing a writer appreciates more than being recognized for a good turn of phrase.
  13. "The Patriots own the Bills the way that the Harlem Globetrotters own the Washington Generals. Sure the match-ups are billed as a competitive tilt, but they are really just entertainment programs that are pre-determined to delight the fan base of just one of the participants." http://niagarahub.com/2012/11/09/pre-snaps-reads-statistically-speaking-bills-have-no-shot-against-pats/
  14. Not the team, but the hopes of another playoff season...if I was a drinking man a beer would have been nice, too.
  15. Anyone still believe the playoffs are a possibility this season?
  16. "If I could rewrite one legendary Hollywood film I would surely rework the ending of “Old Yeller.” You know the scene, the one where the faithful stray, who has bravely defended his adopted family against wild boars and a rabid wolf, develops rabies and is mercifully shot by his young master, Travis" "I thought of that iconic movie from 1957, ironically set in Texas, as the final seconds ticked down on the Bills’ 21-9 loss to the Houston Texans on Sunday. The heart in me wants to believe that they’ll find a way to stave off the rabies cursing through their veins, but my brains know that it’s time to fetch the shotgun and take a trip behind the barn from which only one of us will return." http://niagarahub.co...ehind-the-barn/
  17. Just when you think that, The season is lost for good. Bills win and it's on!
  18. "Up next is a road game against what is most likely the AFC’s best team, the Houston Texans. The Texans are also coming off of the bye so the Bills get no advantage from the extra preparation time. To make matters worse a road trip to Foxboro is on tap for next week and the paint has long been dry on the giant “L” that the Bills will carry home from New England." http://niagarahub.fatcow.com/category/nfl-football/
  19. What a great thread. I think there are a few "literal" thinkers here that are going to buy a brick inside of a box this Christmas because they just couldn't believe that the nice man in the WalMart parking lot selling the "Xbox 360" for hundreds under list price would ever cheat them.
