I think the best argument against pom-poms is that when fans are waving them they are not clapping and making alot of noise to disrupt the offense of the visiting team.

I read what he said, but I thought it nonsensical. It's like starting a post that asks: If Goodwin keeps catching 40-yard TD bombs each game should we extend him past his rookie contract? Of course we should; just as we should with lewis if he keeps it up, but it's still a major overreaction to just one game. With that said, I hope Lewis (and Goodwin) light it up against the Dolphins!

For that matter, when was the last time a local beat reporter broke any story? The national guys always know who the Bills have hired, released or traded for long before anyone in the supposed know ever has an inkling anything is going down.

It seems like it's been ages since the Bills D could stop opposing TEs. All the way back to the Bledsoe to Ben Coates days teams seemed to be able to send the TE down the seam and pile up big yards against the boys from Buffalo. Imagine my surprise when I found this piece of info in an ESPN article about Cleveland TE Jordan Cameron: "His Week 5 opponent, the Buffalo Bills, have allowed the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game (4.6) to tight ends this season." I know the D isn't a finished product yet, but by eliminating the threat of the TE, Pettine has gotten them somewhere that decades of Defensive Coordinators have failed to do here.

Once again, Uncle Flap had the Powell signing (along with Dixon) predicted here a day and a half ago. I mention this because guys are routinely flamed for offering what they claim is "inside" info. Flap was 2 for 2 and when he speaks again I'll be the first to rooster an ear.
