  1. Just want to say that I respect everyone's opinions on what is the best thing to do to help Darryl. I appreciate DCTom's suggestion that maybe Darryl would reject any fan donations. I have reached out to his wife and will update when I hear back. I am one of the most calculated people you will ever meet. I don't do anything in a knee-jerk fashion, yet when I read this story late last night as I was preparing to spend today giving thanks for all that I have it truly broke my heart. I decided to start the fund because I thought of Robin Williams and how so many people said, "Had we known he was suffering we would have done something." Then I thought of Junior Seau and I prayed that we never wake up and read such terrible news about Darryl. I thought that by agreeing to the Buffalo News article Talley was giving us a cry for help. Not for money, per se, but to let people know he is truly hurting. As a proud man myself, I know how hard it must have been for him to show even the slightest bit of weakness publicly. Anyway, if you donate you have my eternal thanks. If the fund reaches it's goal and Darryl and his family refuse the money I will make sure that all donations are returned. PS - Mike Lodish reached out to me to say that Darryl believed in him when many others didn't and he will help his old teammate anyway that he can.
  2. Good thought, Tom. I have a message out to Darryl's wife. I'll update when I hear back.
  3. I know there is a separate thread about Darryl's sad situation, but I hope the mods find this worthy of it's own entry. I have set up a Go Fund Me campaign to help Darryl pay his bills and get the help he needs. Please consider donating what you can. If any one of us was in need Darryl would be the first Bill rushing to our aid. http://www.gofundme.com/hvkgjo
  4. I set up a Go Fund Me for Darryl to help him pay his bills. Please consider donating. He was and is my favorite Bill ever and I can't stand idly by after reading this sad news. http://www.gofundme.com/hvkgjo
  5. Are tickets for the game in Buffalo even being honored in Detroit?
  6. Found the refund policy for those not making the trek to Detroit: http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1/Refund-and-credit-policy-for-Bills-Jets-ticket-holders/d257155c-cc06-4e21-aa9f-761752b28450
  7. Wonder how soon we season ticket holders wil get info on how to obtain game tix or refunds?
  8. Realistically, what kind of a crowd is this game going to draw in Detroit or Washington? Can't imagine more than 30% of the season ticket holders would go to Detroit for a weekday night game, near 0% for DC. Then, how many people in Detroit are going to fork out full dollar (would be unfair to season ticket holders to deep discount prices) to see a non-lions game. Ask yourself this: same storm hits Motown and the league moves Lions/Vikings to the Ralph? You buying a ticket? Me neither. The 29,000 UB Stadium seems like a much better solution. Drove past it an hour ago. Trace amounts of snow, parking lots clear. Make tix available to season ticket holders based on longevity.
  9. Tomorrow they go in for surgery to get matching penises to finish off the transformation.
  10. I'd want Earth 2 Sammy Watkins and a Top 5 1st Rounder.
  11. What do you think these guys would have thought if they'd known that Bills fans were calling WGR55 with similar reactions?
  12. That pumpkin of Pegula is amazing. I marvel at the artistic skills of some carvers.
  13. Just one more reason why Carpenter has quickly become one of my favorite Bills. Awesome!
  14. Great to see the boys having some fun. Lots of good ones (Boobie Jesus???), but Jeff Tuel as Waldo takes the cake. http://www.syracuse.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2014/10/sammy_watkins_buffalo_bills_players_celebrate_halloween_on_their_bye_week.html
  15. I was at the game and McDavid didn't disappoint. Eichel also looked great at the game in Buffalo last month. Here is a closer look at Eichel and what he brings to the table. I think both of these guys are going to be superstars, just finish last and the next 10 years will be sweet.
  16. http://www.geetarz.org/reviews/clapton/1974-07-06-buffalo.htm Here's a bit more info, what a mess of a night.
  17. If he has his last run will be a 53-yarder, kinda weird. Sort of like Jerry Butler's last ever catch was a 20-something yard TD that he broke his leg on the play.
  18. I would seriously drop some coin for a radio that could be paused for just this useage. The radio broadcast is usually 5-7 seconds ahead of the TV feed. Somebody invent one quick, I'll be your first customer.
  19. You can never go wrong with a little Doo-Wop.
  20. Great quote, hope you don't mind if I steal it sometime. And I agree, one thing I promised myself once the Super Bowl years were all over was that I wouldn't dismiss a win. So far, so good. It wasn't pretty, but ask a Vikings fan how this Monday morning feels.
  21. Rules Sign outside the WalMart clearly states, "No Horseplay."
  22. As a few others have responded, the Sabres have the best talent pool of players in the junior and college ranks. Plus, as soon as this next draft is over, I expect Tim Murray will go into free agency with a far different plan than he did this year ( which was to sign some "name" aging players that won't realy add many wins to the record). Eichel is big, strong and fast and is a sniper. One of the coaches on the USA team said that he hadn't seen his combination of size and talent in a kid that age since Mario Lemieux.
