Well, if the Bills are looking at "high character" guys only, not being able to get through a physical without getting into an argument with hospital staff is pretty damning.

I'm not an avid follower like I was in my teens and twenties, but I do like the Deliverance vibe of the family that you take your screen name from. I was at the game last night, sat up in the 300s at the end of the rink that the Sabres Defended twice. I can tell you that the reason that the game was tied with six minutes left with simply because of Robin Lehner. The first two goals he gave up were awful. I know he's had a good year, but on breakaways, one-on-one, he has to be the worst goalie in the league.

Since I wrote the article I now own three sets - one standard Jarts, one adjustable Javelin Jarts, one Slider Jarts. I throw them often. The Sliders are my favorite, they seem to have a more fluid line of flight. One set I found at a yard sale. The other two I bought at ioffer.com, though it appears that they stopped listing them there, too. A good set sells for about $100, the sliders can fetch nearly twice that much.

They fell victim to the bye week sluggishness that has plagued so many teams. After the first 15 minutes they were the better team. Just fell a bit short.

Yeah, five teams came off of their bye week yesterday (including the Blackhawks), all five lost.

Good news is Chicago played a tough 7 pm game last night then had to travel. Never easy to beat the Blackhawks, but they should be a tired bunch.

Ask and ye shall receive. Awesome win today. The kids, Baptise, Rodrigues and Bailey, all played well. Lehner was a beast. O'Reilly continues to be the best Sabre on the ice and Eichel makes a half dozen jaw-dropping plays per game. This is becoming a very fun team to watch.

Not sure why I chose not to drink. There was no alcoholism in my immediate family, I just knew that it was something that wasn't for me. Hardest part was being a teenager with the peer pressure to drink, but I was always strong in my own convictions. My ex was an alcoholic and even with my help she couldn't get to the point where she stopped drinking. Like many people with a drinking problem she would look at a list of signs that you might have a problem and pick out the ones that didn't apply to her as justification for her continued use. I have no problems with anyone drinking so long as they know when to say when. Sadly, some never do.

I think Foles would be the choice before Fitz.

I don't drink. Never have. I'm 52 and I'm an anomaly. Just about everyone else that I've met that doesn't drink is either a religious fanatic or a recovering alcoholic.
