  1. This is bang on. Brady is turning 40 this year. Let that sink in for a moment. I know that he has belied all other players at his position by playing so well at such an advanced age. But the fact of the matter is that time will take its toll on him much sooner rather than later. Can't wait to enjoy the pain and suffering of all of those Chowderheads when that happens.
  2. Yes, it was the last time I didn't hang down into the water. (Ba-dum-ba)
  3. This may be posted in here somewhere, but a pretty good recap of the Bills moves so far and where they stand with the salary cap. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/buffalo-bills-nfl-free-agency-2017/2017/3/10/14880926/buffalo-bills-free-agency-salary-cap-reset-micah-hyde
  4. The mascot definitely had Native American roots. He was called the Saltine Warrior and was retired in 1978 after local Indian leaders protested to the university. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otto_the_Orange
  5. Seems like the most reasonable way to go about it. Bravo.
  6. Wasn't throwing you all under the bus. I think that most of the newbies, including you two, have been great additions.
  7. Since the refugee boats hit our lagoon there has been a noticeable uptick in Hot Take threads doomed before the "Post New Topic" button is even pushed. Rather than take up legitimate thread space I thought it might be a good idea to place all of the inane meanderings in one place. Here's your chance at the spotlight: What is your Bills Hot Take?
  8. Happy Birthday LewPort71. For his birthday, Mrs. Lewport said, "I want you to climb up those stairs and make wild, passionate love to me." To which L-P71 replied, "Both?" Many happy healthy more, my Bills brother.
  9. I really feel bad for Aaron. His post-football plan was to become a rodeo bucking-bronc rider (no kidding). Probably the only profession more prone to concussions than pro football. Hope retirement is the choice he makes.
  10. Good luck Bobby Woods. Will miss you, you were a pro's pro here in Buffalo.
  11. Now that is the way to make a first post. Bravo.
  12. If not for the Pegulas, the Bills, and most likely the Sabres as well, are in another city never to return. That gives them a very liberal pass to figure out how to best run a sports franchise, at least in my humble opinion.
  13. Signs with the Roughriders, not to be confused with the old Rough Riders. http://nesn.com/2017/03/vince-young-reportedly-agrees-to-join-cfls-saskatchewan-roughriders/
  14. Doesn't surprise me that Simon doesn't know when to use "sole" instead of "soul." Jeremy carries him daily.
  15. He is a point a game player this year. Projected out over a full season, he is right there with those three and actually ahead of Matthews. Since the beginning of February, Eichel is the top point producer in all of the NHL. Patrick Kane, in the number two spot, was five points behind him going into last night's game. Yes, Eichel has arrived and is getting more adept and powerful with each passing month of his young career.
  16. Also, the 10, 4 & 2 on the bottles refers to the notion that one's body needs an extra shot of energy at 10:30am, 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm each day. We used to play a version of 5-card stud called Dr. Pepper, where 2s, 4s and 10s were wild. Winning hand was almost always a straight flush or 5 of a kind.
  17. I was really hoping to see a walker walking around carrying a baggie with the skeleton of a goldfish inside.
  18. It's a shame that they couldn't work a deal out with Snapple and had to stop producing Dr. Pepper. On a related note: Niagara Falls' own Johnnie Ryan reverted back to Cane Sugar about 5 years ago and their many flavors of pop are sold nationwide. The Birch Beer and Cream Soda are especially good.
  19. From Christie's FB page, 5 minutes ago. First of all, I certainly didn't expect such a response to my Dan Carpenter post. I am humbled by all your support!! I wish Dan the very best and will continue to support our Bills. This was not intended to be an attack on the GM, or the coaching staff, but having been cut myself a few times, it's not easy. I truly felt that Dan had more than enough talent to turn things around before it came to this. I was not vying for a coaching position either- I'm just part of the kicking fraternity wanting to help a fellow man. Go Bills!!
  20. Tonight Rick Rude joins the WWE 2017 Hall of Fame class.
  21. Whatdaya mean, "No Comment." I'm thinking of wearing this to the opening tailgating this year.
  22. White III was in the zone today, what a performance. That said, I think Battle is the key in the tourney. He's come of age over the past month and could be the difference maker when he he real pressure is on.
  23. Welcome back. Glad to hear the good news about your new job. On a related note, I just got my OHIP card and had my first appt with a Canadian doctor.
