“Look At Me Post.” If the shoe fits...

Thanks, that first link is great stuff. Here’s a small sample: Fourth—and you should be furious that we are at a fourth complaint about the return following a trade of the Hawks’s ONLY young, mobile, NHL-ready defenseman—the scuttlebutt is that Nylander has motivation issues, that he half asses it sometimes. So he’ll be a great ***** fit here with Duncan “***** You” Keith and Brent “Best Shape of His Life Because Spheres Are Shapes ***** You” Seabrook, whom the brass is so scared of that they traded Henri Jokiharju for some joker who struggles to compete in the ***** AHL. Good. Very good. Tickets still available.

Here is Joni Mitchell’s Miles of Aisles Full Album. She’s at her peak here and every track is a gem.

I feel bad for the waitress. A $5,000 tip-of-a-lifetime that probably will get taken back by the credit card company. -

Best Firework Show(s) you ever saw?
ChevyVanMiller replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
No worries. Not trying to be militant about it, but it seems to be a common mistake and I used to be a newspaper columnist for many years and always appreciated editors that caught my errors. Love the topic, btw. -
Best Firework Show(s) you ever saw?
ChevyVanMiller replied to Halloween Land's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Saw. With the the grammar lesson out of the way, it was the Niagara Power Authority’s 25th Anniversary spectacular at the Niagara Reservoir in 1985. They were done by the same people that had put on the show for the rededication of the Statue of Liberty a couple of years earlier. They were choreographed and set to music simulcast by 97 Rock. Purple fireworks exploded over Jimi Hendrix’ guitar riffs on Purple Haze. Jaundiced explosives filled the night sky as Donovan sang Mellow Yellow and silver, glimmering pyrotechnics lit up the evening landscape as the Beatles sang Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. I wish I had had some way of recording it for posterity’ sake. -

Rarely has a band connected more strongly with their audience than the Avett Brothers do with theirs. Here is a great example of it:

It’s not a new idea. In 1974, World Team tennis actually had the Buffalo-Toronto Royals. Half the games were played at the old Aud and the other half north of the border. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto-Buffalo_Royals

Water Levels in Great Lakes Keep Rising
ChevyVanMiller replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
He was speaking directly to the issue with the boats in the Niagara River. The more water that is diverted above the falls at the intakes doesn't get put back in the river until Lewiston.
