  1. That’s true. And, to agree with your original thought I would prefer next years first vs this years second. That scenario would get us a DE, WR and another player at either CB, LB or OLine. I read the OPs thoughts with an open mind and this is a potential option with the first two rounds of this draft stacked with positions we need with lots of potential and strong grades. Grades at positions that should be valued as important building blocks and McBean value as well. Moving back into the 2nd could accomplish a similar return.
  2. Huh, I think that would be a great way out of Dallas’ situation and help them improve. Their team is good enough (as a playoff contender) to attract a good vet QB. It’s a rare offseason where everything can line up for Dallas. Unload, reload, stick the cupboards and save cap room. Quadfector!
  3. How so? A trade? Why would Indy do that?
  4. I would not like spend too much more on a backup QB, but, maybe up to $5 million. This year and the following year that cap hit would be fine and is a good window of opportunity for us where a back up QB could be the difference in winning the division and/or a first round bye. I don’t think Barkley can go 2-2 through an injury to JA. Mariota be a good fit and may be had for less than some think. There is a lot of supply this year at QB and a one year deal for Mariota may be a good fit for both the Bills and him.
  5. I would agree he can play about 10 games. Maybe, 12 tops. For that price on a one year deal, I would like Olsen. If Olsen likes Seattle more than Buffalo (for various/known reasons). If we paid Olsen $7M, $8M, $9M he wouldn't sign here IMO.
  6. Put him on the field and give him the ball. I am confident he can play STs well too.
  7. I thoughts the Bills lost the game and it was their's to win. Fyi. However, my biggest take away on that play. was the blatant hit to the head. I was surprised there was no flag for that. More importantly to the end result of the game wasn't the "no" flag, IMO. I think Allen was concussed and making bad decisions due to the hit which didn't help us at all.
  8. Agreed. More than half of his drops were when he tried to run and turn before he caught the ball. He will get better. He did make some excellent, tough catches. But, I would like to see us add a top notch TE. Josh needs all the weapons he can get NOW (for many reasons). Sign Henry or Hooper. If Knox becomes the #1 #1A TE, great and I hope and think he will. Sign Henry or Hunter to a 3 to 4 year contract at $10-12 M/year. Front load as much as your can. And, you have Knox with 3 more years on his Rookie deal.
  9. My thoughts are this... Knox and Sweeney are #2 and #3. They could both end up being #1 and #2 (and that would be great). We get $5 M in cap space by cutting Kroft with minimal cap hit. If we can upgrade Kroft or need the cap space I would cut him. We aren't going to need the cap space but I would like to upgrade the TE position. I think Reed could be had at a great bargain and slot him into our #4 TE spot. If he comes back strong its great, if not, nothing lost. I am not big on spending a lot in FA for premium prices. But, I would like it IF we could sign Austin Hooper or Hunter Henry for $10 M/year for 3-4 and front load the contract. Signing Reed a good deal would fit in well with that plan. 1. Hooper or Henry 2. Dawson Know 3. Tommy Sweeney 4. Jordan Reed With an injury in TC we are still all set to go into 2020.
  10. I think Rivers and Brady are done. Their arms look like a noodle. Reminds me of Marino’s last year. I think Brees can play another year.
  11. That was the White Sox song on their Championship run
  12. IMO the Pats* aren't paying anything close to that price tag for him. Thusly, he will not be back with the Pats*.
  13. Well, I think this is good for the Bills!
  14. That seems like a silly, angry comment. Do you have any facts on the other end of the argument? Why do we have to have facts on an opinion board. Why don't you help with providing facts instead of policing others.
  15. Agreed. Maybe a 3 year deal front loaded with guaranteed money? $15 million guaranteed and total $30 M for 3 years? I don't know if that gets it done. I don't know if we want that deal or the player. But, I would be fine with that deal and draft a WR in the 1st or 2nd round this year. That would give us 4 WRs and a bunch to fight over the #5 spot. Roberts #6 WR for ST.
  16. I agree with the 3 tiers and how you look at them. One good offseason improving the roster, improving on offense and the coaching staff learning to be less conservative and I think we will be Tier One. With our schedule next year we play a lot of Tier One teams and will find out where we stand. If we are a Tier One team and play 50/50 against Tier One teams next year and take care of business with the others we will he back in the playoffs and more competitive in them.
  17. I hope and am confident the coaches will learn from this and be more aggressive/less conservative next year. Especially against the better teams in the league. Trust the process! I guess I am trusting the process until they prove otherwise. Go Bills!
  18. Agreed. The coaching staff seems to address issues and make improvements in the offseason. More so than most staffs. No egos or my way or the highway. I am hopeful and confident they will fix this. Agreed it is an issue and needs fixed. Maybe we can have nice things!?
