Von Miller $17.5M Compared To Past Bills Pass Rushers
Manther replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe Jerry got paid one year too long. I don't think so. I think he was one of our top 2 DE's last year. Would of liked someone better than Jerry from another team, sure. Hughes still got pressure and he still doesn't get the holding calls he deserves. I never understood why he didn't get holding calls for 7-8 seasons, it was not right. However, the holding calls he does not get will help our team with someone who will get pressure or penalties. Love adding Von Miller! And, please give Oliver and Miller 70-80% of the snaps each. -
Agreed

Bills trade 7th rnd pick for backup Case Keenum
Manther replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haha, the 7th for Lee Smith. That was an impressive move for a TE retiring or being cut. -
I also would be happy with them. I think in this order.... Penny Patterson McKinnon I think Hall is best though. Penny might come at the right price. My only question on Penny (besides injury) is does he need the lion's share of the carries to be successful? Interesting..... I would love a great RB weapon for Josh to take the offense to an unstoppable level.

My guess and gut feeling is the Bills would have taken Etienne if the Jags didn't jump up and grab him last year. I think Beane and McD see a game changing RB weapon if it is a special player is worth it.

Bates is one of our top 6 Olinemen and can play all positions on the line. And was starting in the playoffs. He is more than a back up. The signings you mention are exciting, but, signing those players AND keeping Bates would be better. We may still keep Bates. Beane has a plan. $1.5 million more and we would get a 2nd round pick if we lost him. Maybe Beane has a long term contract ready to offer? Maybe Kromer doesn't love Bates. Who knows. I personally would prefer Bates on the team, but, trust the process. The tender Beane placed on Bates may have been a gamble Beane didn't need to take and maybe got too cute. We will see. I hope Bates is back.

Getting the #1 Seed in AFC playoffs is critical now
Manther replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
The #1 seed is a larger advantage than ever before. I want the #1 seed and glad we are in the AFC East AND the other divisions will beat up on each other. Go Bills! 15-2 should do it. 14-3 may. 13-4 could. -
Huh. Not NFL roster material? This is a very slanted opinion and seems to be non sensical. Maybe he should not be CB2, but, he played great when he played last year. I think we will sign and/or draft a CB early this year, but, Jackson is in the conversation to start....let alone be on the roster. I think Round 1 is a strong possibility for a CB. And since we play zone, we may get the 1st or 2nd best zone CB in the draft. I also love taking a CB there as we did late in the 1st round with White. It also syncs up nicely down the road in 5 years when White will be declining. EDIT - I like Guard, CB2 or Breece Hall (RB)late in the 1st. Maybe WR. Depending who is there and BPA at these positions I like CB2 and Breece Hall

Levi Wallace gone to the Steelers on 2-year deal
Manther replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is a good price for him. My guess would be the Bills think they can improve the talent at the position for the same or more money. The value of the contract is good. -
I think he is on the roster and it is Dodson.

How much $ is Trubusky going to sign for in FA?
Manther replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he get $15 million a year for two years. $30 M total, $20 M guaranteed. -
Just short of a decade. Interesting, I assumed it had already been finalized.

GREAT point! Poor choices, good try, wrong move and you need to be accountable for trying to hedge your bets and make the wrong play. AKA, hey you tried, you chose poorly. FU pay me. Fyi, my personal opinion on Rodgers is he is a huge man child with an ego problem. But, agree the Packers made poor choices to help push the manchild to make these decisions. Rodgers is pissed and GB painted themselves in a corner. Nobody puts baby in a corner.

That is good to hear. Thanks for the info. Is that for the entire year? I would guess and think that Ed Oliver's first half of the year vs 2nd half of the year had different snap counts. Can you break it down that way? Thanks!

Agreed. And, keep using Morse the way he is best. Pass protection and pull him for running. Also, keep improving the Oline, find an above average Guard as our Oline addition and drop our worst Olineman. Or Centre/Guard at the end of the first round. I like Dawkins, Boetteger, Morse and Spencer. Like Bates and Williams is fine as back up T or Guard. Just need to add one or two talents. Maybe one in the draft and one in FA. It will be interesting to see what Kromer thinks. Agreed, I am intrigued and excited. I Billieve. Very optimistic.

No idea who these players are. However, I have an opinion. One of my beliefs is to get the best upside or player at a position. Historically, at this position in the draft we could get these type of players (in no particular order)..... 1. Best Center 2. Best Nose Tackle 3. Top 1 or 2 Cover CB 4. Best RB 5. Best TE (2nd tier TE, not interested) 6. Top 1-3 Guards I would like the best NT, best cover CB or best Guard (possibly a Center). 2nd choice would be a Center or RB. We have a TE and better than what is available. I like one of the best #1 options and a RB in round 2 possibly. Go Bills, fill the gaps and make us great! A nose Tackle at 25 would be great and fill the roster out for performance, quality and cap all in one. Center does the same at 25 too.

Rashaad Penny is an interesting player that fits our system or any system. But, like Singletary had late in the year, I think Penny needs to be the feature back. When he is the feature back he is huge, fast, gains extra yards after contact, hits holes hard and can catch. He is a 3 down back. He has had injuries issues since he was drafted though. I like Penny and Singletary as the back up. Penny can be an additional weapon for JA. I also agree and improved O line will improve whoever is running and catching the rock.
