The watkins deal was made when we were a bad team, with no real cultural direction. Watkins was an unknown commodity, although highly rated, not a proven NFL star. We’ve accumulated draft capital as well as salary cap capital, so making a move like this is feasible, unlike under Whaley who handed out horrible contracts. There’s always risk with any trade of assets but with the division as wide open as it’s been in 20 years, now is the time. Josh Allen is also proven that he can win with less, unlike EJ. The Bills Still come out of this trade with draft picks in rounds 2-7 and plenty of cap.

Doubt it, Beane was just on interview saying nothing he saw in Ford this year tells him he can’t play tackle in this league. Versatility and positional flexibility makes Ford more valuable than maybe how we see him. I would be honestly shocked to see the front office move on from a 2nd round pick that had some moments. Not everyone’s an all pro as a rookie.

Opposite. He graded out better in pass protection and didn’t let up a sack all year. One of 9 guards in the league to accomplish that.

I like the move. He’s been brought in to be competition for Levi Wallace. He won’t be handed anything. He comes in with a ton of experience and was a top player in this system, and without a Kings ransom. At worst, he’s good depth, and a contributor in nickel and dime. Get a jump on free agency.
