If he doesn't do a complete turn around soon (immediately) I agree. -
Batavia possible stadium site?
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to BillnutinHouston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Still like the idea of a stadium north of the city and west of Amherst. NFs would require the bulk of game day traffic through GI and across two bridges. OP is not central for any large group. No way is NF only 10 mins closer to Toronto than OP unless its by plane or helicopter... -
Mayock's take on EJ Manuel
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it is fine to doubt EJ at this point, but considering he has 10 games in playing behind a putrid OL it is way too early to draw any conclusions. He was arguably a bottom tier QB in his rookie year. Reasonable expectations would be for him to progress to a mid tier NFL QB in year 2. If he minimizes turnovers and improves on his inaccuracy, gets some decent play selection from OC, we win games. There is too much talent on both sides of the ball to go 6-10 again with decent QB play. Minimum 9 games should be achievable. -
Sammy gets double-teamed. Now, what?
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to #34fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sorry, this is a dream come true. EJ does not throw into coversge and selects from a wide variety of options including in order, Woods, Williams, RB and TE. OCs would love to see teams double team any receiver consistently when there are viable alternative threats. We have quite a few. -
Solid B At the end of the day, I like what we've done. Whaley's got stones. However, the risk is huge. If Watkins isn't at least all pro, if not HoF, then the move up is a fail. Our biggest weakness was OL. All three OL have elements of risk be it knee arthritis, Senior Bowlitis or weed mania. LBs were questionable at least as far the talking heads had them rated. BB was a solid pick up and should be the RB of the future. If Spiller doesn't produce large in 2014 and Freddy keeps getting older (my guess is that he will) we don't resign either. I'm cautiously optomistic that at least two of the three lineman hit and am very optimistic that Watkins is something special. Time will tell.

I think any of the big boys could end up at OG if necessary and be major upgrades over last year.
-
Not so much. We have enough young talent to evaluate as it is...

I don't think there is any chance we get a number 1 for Spiller. Maybe 2 and more likely a 3. I am fine with trading him though, even at a reduced rate. I see him too often turning no gain into a loss and three yards into no gain. Occassionally, he will hit a hole and break one, but not often enough. Freddie can't do that, but turns a loss into a small gain nd a ssmall gain into five or six.. Bryce Brown may be the ideal back for this team with a big line, his size and speed.

Maybe we could trade down?

I'd pick someone we would like to bring in as an undrafted FA, but who for whatever reason might prefer to sign with someone else. Safety, punter, QB?

Bills trade their own 5th round to TB for a 7th this year and 5th next. They then use the pick they got from St Louis to pick up Cyril Richardson G Baylor. He looked horrible in the Senior Bowl, but is huge and was rated 3/4 round. Getting him late in 5th is great! Strengths Outstanding size and girth with legitimate NFL strength. Sturdy base and heavy anchor -- squats a small house and is dependable in pass protection. Generates movement in the run game. Can work his hips and gain positioning. Walls off and seals. Packs a jolting punch and plays with a load in his hands -- latches on, controls and steers. Wins in a phone booth and can manhandle smaller linemen. Enough balance, coordination and foot speed to pull and trap effectively. Has played tackle and guard. Conditioned in an up-tempo, no-huddle offense. Weaknesses Bad body -- has a fleshy midsection and could stand to shed some bad weight. Lateral agility and recovery quickness are just adequate. Gets in trouble when his feet stall or he bends at the waist (slips off blocks). Intermittent intensity. Does not play violently or impose his will physically as often as he should. Could stand to become more of a nasty finisher. Has underachiever traits. Questionable motivation and passion for the game. Draft Projection Rounds 3-4 Bottom Line Massive road grader with enough mass to re-establish the line of scrimmage in the run game. Versatility to play right tackle adds to value, and he has the physical tools to compete readily in a man-blocking scheme if the game is kept simple. Has a bust factor.

Pick #2 for the Buffalo Bills

Traded down for what? We get the Rams #1 next year? -
Pick #2 for the Buffalo Bills

Gotta be OT now.. -
Pick #2 for the Buffalo Bills
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to CSBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta go OT and then OG in my opinion. If we don't have enough explosive offensive skill position players at this point, we never will. Put 4 WR on the field that no team should be able to cover. However, we still can't block. We gave up the most sacks against a 4 man DL pass rush as was reported during the draft. (I didn't know that). My strategy would be to blitz the heck out of us and EJ won't last two games. -
RD1, Pick #4: WR Sammy Watkins - Clemson
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Watkins, but we gave up too much! Better find the OT everyone talks about in the later rounds or we'll wish we had that number #1 next year as EJ will be done, Now we need to go OT OG imo.. It just got crowded at WR! -
If Manziel is on the board at 9....

...I hope he's still there at 10! -
Go on record. Who do you want?
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to The Voice of Truth's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As I've said from the beginning: OT: Mathews, then BPA at WR (Moncrief?), OG, DE, S, CB, small school RB -
I heard there is going to actually be a draft

Yes, another mock draft! I heard the same thing! -
Does anyone think DT is now a need?

+1 I think Darius will be fine. He will always be a dumb as$, but he will be fine and fined.
