  1. I don't see any scenario that EJ is not in camp and competing for the starting gig.
  2. The importance of a good kick returner have diminished significantly with the new kick off rules. Returns are nearly non-existent. A PR adds value. Carrying someone who might have a ball thrown is way once or twice a game and then not contribute meaningfully on STs seems like a luxury we can ill afford. Rather carry and extra DB.
  3. Very ugly light fixtures. The place looks pretty dated to command that kind of scratch...Needs some serious updating. I'd low ball him at maybe $1MM. He only paid $1,050,000. http://www.zillow.com/homedetails/790-Lebrun-Rd-Amherst-NY-14226/30262889_zpid/
  4. - love to have Hughes back, but someone will overpay him. He's gone and while I am disappointed, I can't blame him for maximizing his value. Must re-sign Dareus as Williams is likely to begin to slow down leaving us a major problem without Dareus. OL is already the major problem.
  5. Sorry, no. The guy has marginal talent. Late round pick who can't crack lesser line ups. Why is this even being discussed?
  6. No tag. That would be over paying him. I suspect he'll shop around and then come back with a bottom line offer for OBD to consider. If he is smart, he'll resign and be part of something special. If he can get the big deal for long term with guaranteed money, then I thank him for his efforts as a Bill and wish him all the best in the future.
  7. I completely agree - please pass the pipe!
  8. Depends on weighting and how much you stack the value at QB. I assume high QB value and in that case, it isn't far off.
  9. No - I pass, but Stevie would drop it...
  10. I'd give him a look only because we have to do something.
  11. Can't agree with you at all. Jerry played very well this year both rushing the passer and against the run. He stacks up on paper as an elite DE. I do believe he benefited from the scheme and those around him. Paying him based on his stats would be a mistake as we can only afford spending so much money on the DL. He's likely to leave with a big contract to some other team desperate for a pass rusher. Kudos to him and I wish him luck. He's not worth tag money, but he is very good and will be missed.
  12. Behind a good to great OL, the choice of RB is pretty moot. Witness, Denver historically and the Pats recently. RI is in instant upgrade and takes a team that had no guard who would start on any other team and upgrades to maybe middle of the pack. Pick up another OG or one of the Cs steps up and we're talking OL that is better than most. With our D, we beat teams that struggle stopping the run and compete with those that can. 9-7 becomes 11-5 and we beat the friggin Pats. I'd draft a mid round RB to go with FJ and watch them both excel. Pears, Urbek and Spiller all go...Its not dull being a Bills fan these days!
  13. Stating the obvious: If he helps us win, then he's a great signing. If he is a distraction and hurts the team, then not. Another guy who may be getting his last chance in the NFL (like Rex). I say do it then go sign the second biggest OL bully.
  14. I'd trade for him as a second QB ahead of Tool.
  15. Pats lose and Brady goes to 0.500 as a SB QB @ 3-3. They win he is 4-2. I have to root against them and even if he comes back, makes the SB again, I can hope and pray that he loses his 4th....I mean, how many QBs can say they've lost four SBs?
  16. Seems like everyone has given up on the two Cs from last year's draft? I'd like to see how they pan out in camp under new coaching. Colon may be an option and let's see who else wants to play for Rex. I'd leave Cordy and Seantrell right where their at and find two OGs from FA or the existing back ups. Wood is ok, but needs to get stronger. Williams and Pears should be gone.
  17. I think good teams are multi-dimensional and can rely on either as dictated by their opponents strengths and weaknesses.
  18. I hope he at least lands the TEs coaching position. After all, he did us a big favor by quitting. Classic addition by subtraction.
  19. I'd like to see Bradford. Lots of upside. Sanchez is more likely and I would be fine with him too.
  20. +1 - hope we keep The Schwartz and promote him to AHC. Switch to 3-4 is not the way to go... Hope Rex can bring some people on board that can coach up young OLmen and do a better job identifying OL talent.
