Well, it was an incredibly stupid play...That could have been the difference between W and L. One bonehead play.... Panic... He didn't run either, was this a mandate or just the way the game went? Other than one bonehead play, great game and I believe he will continue to get better!

Was thinking more in terms of his ability to elevate and go after a jump ball. I think I'd still take Knox as being far more athletic and capable of winning a jump ball. The only reason Kroft had a shot was he pushed off. Either way, should have thrown it away...IMO.

Not grounding if he throws it out of bounds in the vicinity of the receiver.

I could buy into a long toss up to Diggs or maybe even a healthy Knox, but not to Kroft. He should have thrown that one away. Josh looked like 2018, early 2019 Josh, desperate, wild eyed and out of control at times. Ok, maybe only for a handful of plays. I mean how many QBs get an unsportsmanlike conduct call and then a facemask call where he throws the defender to the ground in the same game? Played out of his mind early and then very late. Great game to watch and in the end, a "W"!

This is the weakest link. We struggle to run the ball against a stout D. Solid pass protection. I for one am missing Feliciano. Ford has got to step up.

Stick with Knox, trust the process.

Diggs helps Allen by creating more frequent separation and by winning the contested throws. I don't think we had anyone near capable of winning in these areas consistently. Even so, two guys in the top 32 is pretty good for having such a "subpar" QB and with a run priority offense. Allen was better than given credit and he will continue to get better both with experience and with a better surrounding cast. Things are looking up for sure!

Seems like a solid pick. Admittedly, didn't watch him last season. We'll get to see him develop and I really like his size. 22. A.J. Epenesa, Edge, Iowa At this time last year, many projected Epenesa as a top-10 pick. A middling final year at Iowa has dinged his stock as teams wonder if he’s a good enough athlete to stay on the outside in the NFL. His best fit might be in the description above. It would take advantage of his 6’5, 275-pound frame and make him an asset on third downs from the inside. The only better fit might be on a team that runs a lot of three-man fronts with Epenesa bulking up a little. Smaller Calais Campbell is a pretty good way of describing him.

Players gotta play, coaches gotta coach. The potential is there, but without execution, discipline and desire, we still won't get out of the first round. That's why they play the games. Nice to be on the other side of that quote for a change. We should win 11 games plus a playoff game with home field.

Tend to agree. I do like Singletary a lot. OL looked overmatched at times although much improved from the previous year especially pass blocking. Morse wasn't much of a step up which was disappointing. Ford will get better, but I'd like to see us add at least one starter from FA.
