I really like McD...read this article
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't know why we continue to live in the past on this "bored". There is only one way to move forward and that is to embrace the future. McD seems to be off to a good start, let's give him the benefit of the doubt and see how things progress? Comparing him to RR is really unfair. He deserves a chance and so far so good. -
What is going on in KC?
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've lived in both KC and Raleigh. Both are good eats, but KC wins hands down, easy going away the best!. Try Jack Stack in Overland Park and then we can talk. www.jackstackbbq.com OK Joe was really good for lunch too. -
Building and coaching up a team, saying all the right things, strong planning and ethics seem all pointed in the right direction. The proof for me comes game day and how well he and his coaches react during games. Game calling on both sides of the ball, placing his players in the position to make plays. This is where Bellichik really earns his paycheck. Out coach him on game day and I believe.

Broncos rescind season tickets
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. I don't like this at all. Scalping is a great thing as I can get tickets to any game I want as long as I am willing to pay the going rate. If a person had many tickets and made a business of secondary sales, then I would be in favor of revocation. But a person owning 3-4 seats and reselling them for a small profit doesn't seem like that big a deal to me. Just sell them off the sanctioned exchange process and transact through paypal. -
Gary Barnidge visited the Bills May 3rd
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to CNY315's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not very likely. He signed in 2015 for 5 years and $38MM with $20MM guaranteed....Can't trade him based on performance and can't cut him either... -

I really like this guy. Why do we assume him to be depth behind Clay who has under performed based on his compensation? IMO. -
RD 2, Pick 63: Dion Dawkins (OT) - TEM
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seems solid to me. http://walterfootball.com/draft2017OG.php#xT4o8RzTWCmLPUUy.99 5th best OT and 3rd OG. Maybe he can even go old school and play both ways at DT? -
Sorry but no...good draft. Solid pick ups at CB and WR both areas of glaring need. OL are always valuable. All three rated in top 50 on some boards. We traded up to go after guys we rated highly regardless of where they fell on the boards. Giving up later round picks is not that big a deal. Sure, we could get lucky, but based on past Bills drafts I wouldn't bet on it..Plus we got a number one to package next year to move up for a QB of the future. TT will be fine next year and was not the reason for our bad year. That falls to Ryan and Whaley. One down, one to go... We need to find a cover LB but the season is still a ways off...

winning isn't happening anytime soon
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to stuvian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wellll...not entirely. Let's not forget the great Ryan(s) experiment which I believe was the root cause for both the poor defensive play as well as the lack of discipline as a whole... -

2017 NFL Draft: Round 1 discussion

Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina Height: 6-1. Weight: 202. Arm: 32.25. Hand 9. 40 Time: 4.45. Projected Round (2017): 2-3. 4/25/17: At the combine, Jones continued his tremendous offseason with a fast 40 time and an impressive showing in the field drills. He has an outside chance of cracking the first night of the 2017 NFL Draft and is a lock to go on the second day. Jones had video game-like production playing in a college offense that inflates numbers. As a senior, he totaled 158 receptions for 1,746 yards with eight touchdowns. Jones had other quality production as a junior (98-1,099-5), sophomore (81-830-5) and freshman (62-604-5). Jones set an NCAA record for receptions, breaking the total previously held by former teammate Justin Hardy. Jones was phenomenal at the Senior Bowl and really helped his draft stock. He showed a quick burst off the line with the speed to get separation. Jones also ran good routes with excellent hands and showed a knack for getting away from the secondary late. He plays bigger than his listed numbers and has functional size for the NFL. Some team sources have said they graded Jones in the third round. Definitely a need but seems like a reach... -

2017 NFL Draft: Round 1 discussion

Peppers had a good 2016 season for Michigan with 72 tackles, 16 for a loss, four sacks and one forced fumble. He was phenomenal on punt returns. Peppers also contributed on offense with 17 carries for 150 yards and three touchdowns. The media has been busy overhyping Peppers to a degree. In speaking to NFL evaluators, they think Peppers is a great athlete who has some deficiencies in pass coverage. That is evidenced by his one interception during his entire career. Sources say they are projecting Peppers to be a hybrid dime linebacker and safety, similar to Arizona's Deone Bucannon. Peppers could go in the middle to late portion of the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, but slipping to Round 2 is possible. 8/20/16: Some scouts tell WalterFootball.com that their early impression of Peppers is that he is a better athlete than Jalen Ramsey, the fifth-overall pick to the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft. Peppers mainly played strong safety for Michigan in 2015, totaling 45 tackles with 10 passes broken up. On offense, he was a gadget player with 18 carries for 72 yards and a touchdown. Peppers also had eight receptions for 79 yards. He averaged 11.4 yards per punt return as well. I feel that Peppers, as a defensive back, is a better fit as a safety than a corner. He has some instincts and is quick to diagnosis rushing plays. Peppers is also a physical tackler and doesn't hesitate to run into the scrum to make a tackle. In pass coverage, he has played a variety of techniques. Peppers has played some press-man cornerback on the outside, some off-man coverage over slot receivers, some off-man coverage against tight ends, and some zone coverage in the middle of the field. Michigan hasn't lined him up deep as a free safety, however. As a press-man corner, Peppers has the skills to battle big possession receivers. He looks a little slow to react in off-man coverage to flip his hips and run, so he can be caught flat-footed. There have been times when slot receivers and tight ends achieved some separation because of that. I think Peppers is more of a safety for the NFL as well. With some development, I think he could be a nice weapon to be a strong safety who also contributes to playing man coverage against pass-receiving tight ends. Peppers is a good tackler and willing run defender, so playing in or around the tackle box shouldn't be a problem for him. Read more at http://walterfootball.com/draft2017S.php#5KXvb6TIrwKVACH3.99
