  1. Lots of theories but I believe it comes from the Bob Dylan song. (Dylan has a song called “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35,” in which he repeatedly sings, “Everyone must get stoned.” And 12 multiplied by 35 is 420. Genius!)
  2. Red unis suck regardless of helmet color. Red unis and this helmet and we're ready for Arena football.
  3. I don't think the problem is 7-9. The Pats continue to exceed year over year in spite of the hugely positive winning record each year. The issue has been that we are a very poor organization from talent evaluation to coaching to finances. Whaley by himself set us back nearly a decade. 2013 Draft: E.J. Manuel, Robert Woods, Kiko Alonso, Marquise Goodwin, Duke Williams, Jonathan Meeks, Dustin Hopkins, Chris Gragg - Grade: F 2014 Draft: Sammy Watkins, Cyrus Kouandjio, Preston Brown, Ross Cockrell, Cyril Richardson, Randell Johnson, Seantrel Henderson - Grade: F Doug Whaley gave up 3 picks to move up to No. 4 in 2014 to draft Sammy Watkins. 5 receivers from that draft have more TDs than he does! 2015 Draft: Ronald Darby, John Miller, Karlos Williams, Tony Steward, Nick O'Leary, Dezmin Lewis - Grade: C+ 2016 Draft: Shaq Lawson, Reggie Ragland, Adolphus Washington, Cardale Jones, Jonathan Williams, Kolby Listenbee, Kevon Seymour - Grade: C (TBD could only move lower) Rex made the hole deeper and squandered the talent he had at the time. The new guys offer a breath of fresh air that I welcome. Time will tell as to whether they are the real deal and help us become successful.
  4. Great post, hopefully this puts the tanking talk to bed. I wish...
  5. Ooohhh, now I get it! Your saying we won the off-season....again?!
  6. I prefer the red, the blue is too much blue. The 90's unis were the best ever imho...
  7. I agree except I do like the trade(s) for the reasons you mentioned. I don't believe SWs would have the career year he needed with the Bills to justify a big contract. That said, he leaves for a team willing to pay for his potential. At least we got serviceable replacements and great picks.
  8. He looked old, fat and slow. He never came to play... Too bad...
  9. I agree with you, there should be more talk about Wood. He is over rated and has always get blown up by top tier DTs when pass blocking. I thought Groy played great last year. Time to move on...
  10. Yet he finished practice. Missed two games in three years, give it a rest.
  11. stupid stupid stupid thread... No way SWs comes back to Buffalo. He's done here. I hope he does well in LA, but I am willing to bet he gets hurt again.
  12. Complete bull$hit that he has stone hands.Darby didn't look like a number one corner last year did he? Philly fans are not laughing, they are lamenting the loss of a proven leader, team player and skilled WR in hopes of landing a CB which is an area of serious need. Gaines: 5-feet-10, weighs 185 pounds and is 25 years old. Darby : 5- feet- 11 weighs 193 pounds and is 23 years old. Gaines was all rookie his first year and was injured early in training camp his second year missing the season. How do you assess he is not starting material in a new defensive scheme and healthy?
  13. How so? Injury plagued his whole life, why believe it will different this year? Time will tell....Fragile then, fragile now, fragile going forward. The real tragedy was spending two 1sts and a 4th for this guy when so many other more talented and less injury prone WRs were selected after him. Whaley really set us back and I am hoping Beane takes us forward!
  14. Matthews ends his time with the Eagles after three seasons, pulling in 225 catches for 2,673 yards and 19 touchdowns. He missed just two games over the past three seasons, and totaled more catches in his first three seasons than any other receiver in team history. Watkins? Not so much....

  16. Hardly appears as a "very bad knee" Jordan Matthews has missed the past week of OTAs due to knee tendinitis. The Eagles are calling Matthews' absence "precautionary," but it's notable because Matthews battled this same exact issue last October. It didn't cost Matthews any game action -- his missed time last year was an ankle problem -- but Matthews has battled nagging injuries for the past couple years. He'll likely be fine for minicamp in a couple weeks. Once rumored to be on the trade block, Matthews has the quarterback in his corner, as he and Carson Wentz are known to be "boys." Matthews' targets should take a decent hit in 2017 with the additions of Alshon Jeffery and Torrey Smith and further emergence of Zach Ertz. Looks more like he was expendable based on the receiver options and they had a big need at CB.
  17. Arguably, Matthews, Bolden and Zay still looks better than last year's group especially if Holmes or Streater can contribute. Just need someone to get them the ball. Matthews has been a highly productive player since being selected 42nd overall in 2014. He ranks first in receptions (225) and third in receiving yards (2,673) among all-time Eagles in their first three years, and is one of only five players in NFL history with 65-plus receptions and 800-plus receiving yards in each of their first three seasons. The other four? Randy Moss, Odell Beckham Jr., Mike Evans and A.J. Green. No Sammy sighting on the list.
  18. With SW's injury problems and inability to stay on the field, I am fine with this swap of WRs and draft picks. Darby for Gaines is a big downgrade though. I think you have to look at the two trades as a package deal from the Bills standpoint and with all factors considered, it is a smart deal. Matthews is like 6'3" and 215 - good hands and speed, willing to block. Gaines needs to improve, but is a starting CB.
  19. We should have got more for Watkins, the Darby side is better. Overall if we already moved on from SW, the net net is pretty good when you factor in the draft picks. Not a tank move in my opinion.
  20. Flying in for the home opener. BWI to BUF arrive at 8am and return Monday. Using points so no charge. Go Bills! Do it again depending...
  21. Welcome, welcome, welcome Mr Bolden! While I think we weren't your first pick, you were ours and will learn to love us! We deserve a receiver of your caliber and you deserve to be loved by the best fan base in the NFL! I hope this isn't a one and done relationship, but maybe you have a couple of years in you yet? Have a great year!
