  1. Why would we compare our QB salary to a Super Bowl team or a team paying a QB who wins games for them? If we land a rookie QB phenom why would we want to pay Tyrod dead cap too? Teams paying high salaries to QB's get great results. If our QB is not a Brady or Rodgers why should we care about the "AVERAGE" which includes QB's who bring more to the table?
  2. I agree with the bolded. The only guy that people can point to is Darnold and we don't know if his play will continue or if he will stay in school. Josh Allen's name should be dropped from lists of people that are better than all of 2017 because it looks silly. Rosen is a supreme talent with huge question marks. And anything can happen and the Bills might outmaneuver somebody but they will need luck as well to secure one if they don't finish bottom 2 or 3.
  3. Allen? What has he done? I don't have a QB board for 2018 yet but my guess is that number will be closer to 2 by the time we get closer to the draft. I would be very surprised if the actual players match the Kiper and McShay hype. The 2004 class had 3 guys and it was the greatest QB class of the last 20 years.
  4. Who are the 4 QB's better than all of 2017?
  5. I am talking about dead cap. You are talking about something else. So stick to the topic or not.
  6. Well, this is where I disagree. I don't see upside. I think smarter cap management would have been to move on and not lock ourselves into 8.5 dead cap hoping Tyrod becomes something great under his 3rd offensive coordinator for the team. Anyways, enough on Tyrod. I hope our future contracts are smarter and more cap friendly. We can't afford to pay people not to play.
  7. His intangibles are incredible. That stuff is like Dak's DUI.
  8. Actually, children have a hard time with nuance and debating ideas. So...
  9. You can split it over 2 years but it still adds up to 8,500,000 dead cap. Dumb contract.
  10. Dareus is our best defensive player and will be making plays this year. He was in the wrong scheme last 2 years.
  11. Exactly. If you think the Bills are on the verge of greatness soon it will be apparent to the fans that don't understand what you do.
  12. His contract is a 8.5 million dead cap hit if we release him after this year. That is not great to have 8.5 dead cap.
  13. Jeremy White asks Beane if he would want to throw the ball and if there is NFL team we could envision as a model. Beane doesn't answer what team. His answer on throwing the ball more is something along the lines of blocking and fundamentals important too.
  14. I don't think TT is terrible. I think he is a bridge QB like Fitzpatrick who can win some games if everything else goes great.
  15. Well, not going to debate TT. As for Cardale, Yates, and Peterman none of this group would give me a warm feeling if Tyrod went down and they had to start.
  16. Actually, nothing of the sort happened here. I quoted a relevant passage from the story that the OP also did. We posted the same thing at the same time yet only I was attacked. Crusade is coming from eball. You brought up Mahomes. I never did. Looks like the problem is people were upset I had an opinion and now attack me for other opinions.
  17. Look in the mirror. You just stated you are here to put people in their place who don't agree with your opinion of the Bills. If you have a point to make, make it.
  18. Pick out whatever line you like best. There is no context needed other than he qualifies everything in coaching cliches. Attacking posters without discussing football is your shtick.
  19. I really hope that is just coach speak and he is not serious. Because then we have a VERY serious problem.
  20. My opinion is the Sean McDermott is from a branch of the Jim Johnson tree. Ron Rivera, Leslie Frazier, and Sean McDermott all are in a group of people that think in a similar fashion. I suppose you can also say technically McDermott is from the Andy Reid tree. But offensive and defensive coaches think differently so I don't see this as helpful except for the cheating tree of Belichick. But keep in mind BB is no longer a defensive coach. He has a hand in everything. I see Sean, Leslie, and Ron as assistants of Jim Johnson. Andy Reid is known as a high end strategic thinking coach, a master of WCO, and QB guru. Andy Reid values QB play. I am sure Sean learned things but I don't see him close to an Andy Reid at all. Brad Childress also didn't want to be his offensive coordinator which I thought was also telling.
  21. Russ's brother. http://modern-counsel.com/2015/buffalo-bills/
  22. How do you know this? Who is they? The decision on QB was Sean's and Sean's alone. And Leroi does provide some information and I do believe he works for the Bills. But even if the Bills have a plan to draft a QB next year doesn't mean that it will work out that way. Wanting a QB is not a plan. All you can do is scout the hell out of the players and hope you get a chance to pull the trigger or make a move.
