  1. Solve the O-Line problem in free agency...there are PLENTY of O-Lineman who will be available, at the right price. Guards: Travelle Wharton, Geoff Schwartz, Willie Colon, Jon Asamoah, Chad Rinehart, Zane Beadles, Richie Incognito, Shawn Lauvao. Tackles: Eugene Monroe, Jared Veldheer, Branden Albert, Jordon Gross, Anthony Collins, Roger Saffold, Michael Oher, Breno Giacomini, Charles Brown, Zach Strief, Austin Howard, Ryan Harris, Eric Winston, Tyson Clabo, Jason Fox, Will Svitek, J'Marcus Webb, Sean Locklear. ANY combo/duo of those guys would be an upgrade to Doug Legursky and Erik Pears...but they also like Unga, McClain and Asper. Once that is settled...draft Kelvin Benjamin (WR-FSU) in the 1st round, and then draft Austin Seferian-Jenkins (TE-UW) in the 2nd round. They need to get the offense up to par with the defense, a big WR and athletic TE would do just that, giving EJ 2 big weapons/security blankets. (*On a sidenote...John Wendling is a free agent, and a ST "Ace" whom Danny Crossman coached in Detroit.)
  2. I say either Kelvin Benjamin or Mike Evans...Austin Seferian-Jenkins or Troy Niklas (who they call "Baby Gronk"). I would be happy with either one, at each position...but I WANT Benjamin and Seferian-Jenkins. Make this happen...upgrade the O-line in free agency...and the offense will make major strides in year #2, especially EJ.
  3. I like Detroit because I like a lot of their players, and my Grandfather grew up there and rooted for them. I also like Arizona and Carolina...as I lived near one (Panthers) and visited the other (Cardinals). But, if I had to pick a "Favorite" second team, it would have to be the Seahawks...simply because of Wilson, Lynch and Sherman. I have always disliked Pete Carroll...but if the Bills could emulate any NFL team right now, I want to be the Seattle Seahawks.
  4. Robey was given every chance to succeed, with one team, from day one. Rogers situation was nowhere near that...and his position coach (in Buffalo) was a bum. The problem is, people not wanting a talented player on this team...because he does not act like a choir boy 24/7.
  5. You read part of it...now read the rest, the very last sentence.
  6. I think the more important thing to take away from this is...Michael Vick wanted to come to Buffalo, once upon a time. Buffalo needs a mentor, and competition for their young QB...Vick is a free agent. Not saying it is ideal, or even a good situation...just throwing it out there for discussion...would Doug-squared contemplate such a move?
  7. Kiko deserves it without a doubt. Not only did he put up big numbers as a rookie... He was also the only rookie who was the leader of his unit, being the signal caller for Pettine's defense. That, in itself, is a huge responsibility...and not only did he fulfill it, he played at a high level while doing so. (I wanted Keenan Allen too, read somewhere that he is the next "Anquan Boldin.")
  8. No, they should have traded up 24 more spots for Alshon Jeffrey...that is who they need, not a T.Y. Hilton, who they have a couple of already.
  9. FWIW...A friend of mine is a scout for the Kansas City Chiefs, a kid I played high school ball with. He said that Da'Rick Rogers was the equivalent to Vontaze Burfict. Every team wanted to take a chance, but it came down to who would be patient enough to see the experiment through... "Taking chances on developing players like these, are what separates the good coaches and teams, from the rest." I have always said the Bills will not be any good until they start drafting football players, instead of choir boys...Kiko Alonso was a good start. I sure hope they would not pass on a Jadaveon Clowney or Austin Seferian-Jenkins, simply because of some minor incidents in college.
