Only way I could get down with this would be to sign Cousins, trade up with Giants (picks and Shady), draft Barkley. Otherwise, I want Shady here. He has more in the tank and we know we don’t have a worthy replacement. Without a threat in the running game, our rookie QB and mediocre receivers are completely screwed. He is also veteran leadership that is walking out the door with Wood, and KW/TT (likely).

Do it! The 2017 2nd round pick is great value! in all seriousness, I’d be pretty upset if we traded Shady. He IS our offense. Screw thus rebuild talk next year. I want playoffs again! I’d still be perfectly fine with Cousins. That gives us 5 years at least to contend. Can you imagine what kind of trouble this organization would be in if we traded the farm to get a QB that ended up being a bust? And why would the Giants want Shady?? They’re in ful rebuild mode.

I’m not sold on Darnold. Would rather pay Cousins and hope he plays at a high level for the next 5 years. If we trade up big time and draft a flop of a QB, this will set us back substantially in the short and long run.

This list is dead on. and despite being a crazy Bills fan, Barry Sanders is my favorite NFL player of all time for the wow-factor you mention above. The guy simply made magic happen.

Says who? If we get a qb that can play right away, no reason we can’t be a playoff team. Anyone think the Bills would be 9-7 after they started unloading players early last season? I live in Philly and most people here didn’t even expect the Eagles to make the playoffs! I’m on the Bills playoff train baby... ok to build for the future, but hope McBeane keep their collective foot on the gas!
