How about the fact we couldn’t make it work with Diggs? Ive been thinking more - it’s easy to disregard bc Josh won MVP - but what if we had Diggs to throw to on the last play vs the Chiefs in the AFCCG? In light of everything that has happened to this passing game I think I’m getting more ticked about that then Beane being unable to get a WR1 at pick 30 in 2024. We don’t know what happened with Diggs it’s just “oh well, moving on.” And bc Josh won MVP it’s like, we didn’t need him anyway. Did we? That last play vs the Chiefs was us hoping to get a 1st down completion. Not confident we know we’re getting a 1st down. Bc we don’t have an alpha. Now he’s in NE helping take Maye to another level. Regardless you get rid of the alpha to clear up cap space you better make sure you replace him. Not in the aggregate.

The AFC playoffs this year are going to most likely feature Bo Nix, Drake Maye, Daniel Jones, and maybe old man Rodgers. It’s an absolute disaster if that happens and we don’t make the SB and would / should be a fireable offense. Bc if it doesn’t happen under these circumstances it ain’t happening.

Wins like yesterday against opponents like yesterday do absolutely nothing for me. This Sunday is a massive game - on display is the Chiefs build over the last 3-5 years vs ours. That’s how I see it. Beane and McD have built a great team, great culture. But relative to the SB contenders, how does this roster stack up? I’m certain it isn’t a top 5 roster in the league. Against the Chiefs, At home, a SB team wins this game. No freaking excuses. This game is an indictment on him - maybe McD if he’s as involved with draft picks and FAs. If the New England Patriots have already lapped us (why would I think we are beating the Chiefs if we couldn’t handle them) then it’s time to move on from the entire regime. But that won’t happen and I’m not sure I trust Terry to get it right and to get a regime that will get us there. At the moment, it’s one week at a time and my expectations are low - with Josh we can win every game. But as we’ve seen if he’s just ok, we will lose games. We win this week, SB talk can be back on.

And who was saying that after week 1. Or week 3. We can safely bet the Chiefs will be around - unless they lose to Denver 2x, and us. They’ll lose 1 more in there. That could knock them out. 11 weeks to go. So many injuries happen that change trajectories of seasons and teams do get figured out. Oh wait we’ve been that latter part the first 7 weeks lol.
