In defense of the pass rush, I’m going to argue that oline we saw today was one of the 3 best we’ve seen all year. Did Andrews play against us the first game? And they were playing for Slater, who I think is retiring. The Dolphins oline with Armstead is decent. Without him it’s below average. The Bengals lost Kappa today - meaning the right side of their oline is out. As has been the case with this D for years, good olines are our kryptonite. I don’t think we’ll see one as good as today’s in the playoffs. The Chiefs is the best - but they aren’t beating the Chargers.

If Terron Armstead doesn’t play I don’t care if Tua plays. Not sure if they sat him this week believing it would all fall their way or he’s legit hurt.

This is the only thing preventing him from playing - my guess is he could probably clear protocol right now - at least this week. If he were concussed again, the Dolphins, the doctors, the league all look clueless or worse. But if he’s cleared, the Dolphins as a team won’t prevent him from playing IF he wants to play. That’s where I could see this going - McDaniel even said “it’s up to the doctors.” They won’t step in and say “no, we are weighing your health and a lot of other things here.” And they never said he’s shut down for the year. I feel really bad for this kid. He should have never played against the Bengals. And we probably aren’t having this conversation.

The secondary and pass rush will be tested like it hasn’t in any of the playoff runs. Hill/Waddle Higgins/Chase Allen/Williams Have to score 30 plus each game and view it like that By any means necessary. Who had Hines with 2 KO returns for TDS to lead the way today on their list of what needs to happen?

McDermott may have actually saved the NFL by doing what he did. McD has actually gotten me completely over 13 Seconds with his job this year especially the last month - no one quit when they could have. We’ve suffered significant injuries since September. We lost THE UFA signing of the off season and have held on. Blizzards and schedule disruptions. A community in mourning following a senseless mass shooting. He’s guided us through a death that by the grace of God wasn’t, on the field. They are about to be 13-3 after facing the toughest schedule in the league. The injuries on Defense are not optimal. I don’t know how this ends. But I’m at peace with it. I’ll be sad. We got jobbed a shot at a bye. Not because of McD. But because there is another plan at work for Hamlin and this group. And who knows. Maybe it becomes a catalyst to a SB run that does go thru Buffalo. You still have time to delete this.

It’s a massive problem against the olines and WRs and QBs we will be playing. It isn’t just Miller and Hyde anymore - now it’s Hyde’s replacement. I think we have to be realistic here. We need to score 30 a game.

Raiders fell to the 7th pick overall after last week. If they won this game they could be picking around 10-12. A loss they could pick as high 6th - I think. They were never going to win this game.
