I was only enamored with JSN or Addison in RD 1 - and after seeing Addison’s “let’s get paid” comments or whatever they were, I feel like we aren’t missing out on anything. Wasn't high on Flowers at all. Johnston I considered a project but would be good with. But for those wanting a WR, this draft is far from done and it feels like the best ones in this draft will be later round guys. We can still find a slot guy (Downs). Mingo. Hyatt. Dell. Rice. Boutte. Washington. If you tell me we got TE 1 and say my guy Mingo, along with big people - I’m going to be thrilled. Stop fixating on that first round group. Only JSN was exciting. Speaking of which - Detroit didn’t want to trade down and draft Campbell? They absolutely could have and we could have been the partner and then drafted JSN if we really wanted to. Price too steep I’m sure we called. Had to.

Agreed. I mean this tape is tremendous. We got the best TE in the draft a draft they said was a position of strength. I’m pleased. We just have to utilize him like this. It’s TE play we haven’t seen here - unless you count watching Travis Kelce doing this to us for years.

The games he’s missed I recall the run game going to complete dog poo. He brings a nastiness to the run game no other linemen on the roster has. I agree his pass pro was bad last year but they are chalking it up to his early season setbacks. I’ve said it before I’d draft one but I believe they aren’t giving up on Brown. We draft one first, that guy is the starter. I’m starting to see too many holes and significant ones if an injury happens to that DL or Milano or Poyer. I’m not saying not to draft an OT btw. This is more of a “in defense of Spencer Brown” post. I think we can go OT at 34 and I absolutely would consider it - then maybe Ika in Round 3. I just don’t think McBeane will.

Hyatt. We traded Oliver in this scenario. We lost Edmonds. And Von is an unknown. Our defense is going to be average at best. Potential dumpster fire if anything happens to Milano and Poyer. Going to need to score 30 a game.

If the Texans don’t go QB at 2 they aren’t going QB at all. I just don’t see it. That to me is the biggest question in this draft. Does Ryans want to wait till next year for a QB and try to load up that defense now? I’m not sure what we would want to do. Probably take Stroud at 2.
