If you watch the Chiefs especially in the playoffs - I noticed this when NFLN replayed the last 2 Eagles - Chiefs games… The Chiefs ****h to the refs CONSTANTLY. Mahomes. Their lineman. Their DBs. Always after many plays are in the ear of an official. If you don’t think it’s beyond the NFL to make sure at least 1 or 2 game impacting calls aren’t made to benefit its chosen golden boys - maybe the possibility all the whining they do has paid off. You complain to officials the right way, you’ll start getting calls and they’ll think twice throwing a flag on you if they know they made a bad call or no call the other way. I think both things are true. The Chiefs are an elite team. And the refs absolutely pamper them. Whether you believe it’s bc of the league and it’s rigged or if it’s just bc consciously or subconsciously they believe there is no way such “elite” players are committing fouls against your “inferior” talent. There was a pass to Smith in the SB that was of course ultimately ruled incomplete on a deep sideline catch at the end of the first half. Sneed was absolutely MAULING Smith and pinning his arm down as Smith pulled off a ridiculous catch. Elam would have 7 flags thrown at him.
