The game tape shows a guy that struggles when he has to make more than one read. I'm not surprised to see how he performed today. He has the tools but needs to sit at least two years before being ready. Great kid but he just doesn't have it yet.
No offense: I think Fajardo is a train wreck as a passer.
I wasn't a fan either. I just thought he looked pretty good at the combine throwing and in the games you can watch on YouTube. Hard to judge based on the offense though.
I'm saying we've seen a lot of big, fast receivers come out with potential. I agree he has it but in the second round with no first rounder I'd like to see more. Really wanted to see what he could do in his third season.
Suprised by the love this guy is getting. Had one good season where he was able to get some tds. Also had a lot of games where he did next to nothing. I can see the potential but to say he's better than the top 3 wrs seems crazy. Especially when you mention his issues outside of football.
Absolutely right Big Cat. Orton is not getting the time to make reads or good throws because he is getting beat up all game. On the last offensive play he made the one read to Watkins and threw it when he had Fred open underneath for a first. The middle of the line sucks and he's trying to get rid of the ball too fast.
Thank you Ralph and Mary Wilson. The Bills have always been dear to me and thanks to you I will have them for many years to come. Also, thanks to Terry Pegula for contributing so much to the Buffalo area and fans.
An ideal backup. Can step in and win games if needed. Can't help but feel we got lucky getting this guy at this point. Definitely feel better about our Qb situation.
I've read a cpl things questioning his accuracy but apparently it's more his inaccuracy in the beginning of games. Thanks for posting that though because it definitely is better than I thought it was. Still not a Mariota fan though.
I was annoyed by giving up a first next year for the same reason. Then I looked at the qbs that will likely enter and there really aren't any that would be considered sure things. Mariota still needs to work on accuracy and the same with Hundtley and Miller. Maybe these guys take the next step this year though.
