  1. Seeing that Sally Watkins has a "sprained ankle" makes me sick. All that laboring about on crutches like he had a broken leg, and it's nothing but a sprained ankle. He must have a very low tolerance for pain.
  2. The EJ lovers are funny. They have some weird emotional investment, and search for any way to distort the truth into painting a picture of EJ somehow being a viable QB. He'll never start anywhere except Buffalo, and will be lucky to latch if he can latch on as a backup somewhere. Most likely out of the league before 2019. DON'T STOP BELIEVING HOLD ON TO THE FEELIIIIIING
  3. Schwartz and Rex can't coexist - totally different schools.
  4. I'm just glad there is absolutely zero QB controversy. EJ looks as terrible as ever, and did nothing to push Taylor's lock on the starting role.
  5. Harvin is a good mentor for Watkins, since Watkins will have a career much like Harvin's - full of potential but ruined by being injury prone.
  6. The problem with the defense is the linebackers. They never make a play, might as well be a couple random college kids out there instead of Brown and Bradham. The secondary and the line have had their issues, but also made their fair share of plays. The linebackers are a huge weakness.
  7. transition from a 4-3 to a 3-4 generally takes three or four seasons of drafting and free agency
  8. The EJ Apologists better all start getting their excuses ready now.
  9. Mike Evans - more rec, yds, tds (similar targets) Odell Beckham - more rec, yds, tds Kelvin Benjamin- more rec, yds, tds (similar targets) Jordan Matthews - more rec, yds, tds Brandin Cooks - more rec (fewer targets) Allen Robinson - similar rec, yds, tds (fewer targets) Jarvis Landry - more rec John Brown - similar rec, yds, tds (fewer targets) Honorable Mentions: Donte Moncrief Davante Adams Martavis Bryant
  10. Beat Tannehill and Mariotta. Lost to Brady and Manning. Don't overthink it. This isn't about home or away.
  11. Luck is no where no the level of Rodgers, but he's definitely a top 10 QB at the MINIMUM and that is pretty darn good.
  12. Who is more injury prone - McCoy or Alonso?
  13. I didn't know the intentional bat rule to be honest. Apparently tonight's officials didn't know the rule, either. Sucks for Detroit, should have been 1st and goal from one foot out. Total fail by the officials.
  14. OP has apparently never been to a Steelers game at the Ralph. They ALWAYS show up in huge numbers.
  15. The truth is: Early expectations were too high. Taylor is new. McCoy and Williams are new. Harvin and Clay are new. Ryan and Roman and Thurman are new. Things are going in a good direction. There's a good core of players on this team, and some good young talent. They just aren't ready to be a playoff level team yet. They will look great some weeks, and leave you scratching your head other weeks. Everyone wanted them to be a top AFC contender right out of the gate, and those expectations were unrealistic. It takes time for all these new pieces to come together and gel. They will be OK in the long run. The upcoming schedule is favorable. If they can stay at .500 through the growing pains they will be in good shape for a late WC run, and even if it doesn't happen this year they are building something better than what they've had for the last decade.
  16. Karlos looks awesome! Shady still has game and he'll be good for us once he heals up, but it's great to have young talent that will continue to grow.
  17. That's a great accomplishment. If they can consistently run the ball and stop the run, they will be tough to beat. That's also a great formula to take the pressure of the QB and help the development of Tyrod.
  18. If you don't think that getting a 5th for Cassel is a good deal, you are WOEFULLY misinformed about the general draft pick trade value for players. Only a team in desperate QB need would even remotely consider giving up a 5th for him. The Bills got MAXIMUM value.
  19. Once these D-lineman get paid they get fat and lazy and stop caring.
  20. The Bills didn't lose because Tyrod didn't play well. He had his mistakes but the Bills scored plenty enough points to win. The Bills lost because they are supposed to have this great defense yet Brady came in and torched them for 500 yards anyways.
  21. The corners should have been playing lots more press coverage on the line and trying to jam up Edelman on his release. Way too much sitting back in coverage.
  22. We didn't blitz a lot. The coaches were relying on the front four to create consistent pressure on their own, and they failed to do anything. No pressure on Brady = no chance.
  23. He knew they couldn't run against us, and he didn't even try to - about 60 passes and 10 rushes. Our corners weren't able to jam up Edelman coming off the line, and we don't have anyone that matches up well against Gronk. He gameplanned to exploit that and succeeded. Our defensive line was supposed to overmatch the young depleted Patriots line and create lots of pressure, and failed to do so. If you can't get consistent pressure on Brady, you can't win. Belichick had the right blocking schemes and often had the ball coming out of Brady's hand so fast that the pressure never got a chance to develop. Gotta give Belicheck credit, they had the right gameplan.
  24. Great thread, thanks for sharing.
