Agree with most you say. But, you never know when the pendulum will swing back the other way. I know this Bills team personnel wise is lacking as far as athleticism and they likely won't be the ones to break the mold.

We discussed this in another thread earlier in the week. My viewpoint is in line with the OP. I get having a few vets around. I don't get having 15-20% of the roster taking away from younger talent, more athletic talent. It reeks of cowardice how much we fear the other teams offense and value protecting the D at all costs. Prevent the big play is important, but you should be able to do it without all these old players.

3 of our veteran starters in the secondary are our worst by Passer Rating. Benford 122.0! are you kidding me for that money, T.Johnson 105.7 and White 93.7! Plus the entire defense has only 2 pass breakups. Better hope we can acclimate some of our younger better athletes into McDermotts complex scheme.

It is possible that we have Hairston, Strong and Hancock all playing parts at some point, and we need it.

i think we need more talent on the field. I get Hairston has missed time due to injury, but teams have First Round CBs start all the time. Once he's healthy and practicing for a couple weeks, he shouldn't be time sharing for long with Tre White. If he is , then there is something wrong with either drafting the guy or the system is not working for guys to come in and play soon enough.

Our defense seems to require so much experience in it before you can be trusted it drives me nuts. It sacrifices athleticism and talent so a trusted veteran is in there.

One thing that really bothers me is supposedly how difficult it is to bring new guys in on defense. It is a huge flaw to have a system that requires so much experience at the cost of improved athleticism. We have younger guys who are better athletes (Hancock) just standing there watching games. I want more athleticism and talent on defense -soon.

The Bills played crappy and I hope they can get it going and win. But, nobody makes a game more unwatchable than Hochulis crew. THEY CALL EVERYTHING! and it ruins the game.

Knox isn't useless, but he's paid alot for what he offers.

Babich is a huge issue at this point.

TBH I don't want us to be perfect right now. I want to win every week, but need some growth areas (which we have) for later on.

We have between Bills 5/22 spots and 9/22 from posters. I think the 5 is very harsh and even if the 9s concede a spot, you are left with the Bills beating this team 3 out of 4 is it? Is Bills coaching and scheme that much better? No i don't think so. Is it all luck? No I don't think so. The Bills are actually better on paper than some of our more pessimistic posters think. Especially on the O-Line!
