BOO!!!! Guys, it's not offense vs defense. This team is just not as good as it was at one time. Both units are extremely inconsistent and the coaching bears much of the responsibility. I mean it's not good enough to let the other team march up and down the field and fall behind. And then when the offense has a great start to the game to change what your doing and hibernate until later in the game. And then for the D to be unable to deliver another key stop. It all isn't good enough and that's on the staff to figure out.

All of these things can be true at the same time. It isn't an either or of OvD or Dorsey, Frazier, McD, or Beane etc. McDermott/Beane built a good team and culture beginning in 2017. McDermott, Frazier and the ST Coordinator committed the unpardonable sin of the blowing the 13 sec game in Kansas City in 2021. We started to wonder if McD was Marty Schottenheimer reincarnate (great in regular season, lacking big time in playoffs) Last year we started like a house on fire with the addition of Von Miller and the belief that the previous year was behind us and we would continue to be contenders. Then in 2022 A bunch of injuries occurred which hadn't really been a big issue in prior seasons. We experienced adversity on and off the field. We discovered that we didn't have the depth the team believed we did. Teams adjusted to our offense and defense. Our O-coordinator is an unproven guy as OC who had no prior record of adjusting as teams figured him out. And, our old DC continued to fade into his old ways and got fired by HC. In 2023, we've finally started to admit that our coaching staff is more of a one trick pony and really lacks the intelligence many of the other successful teams around the NFL have. We watched a well coached Cincinnati team dismantle us again despite having ample time to prepare. I'll leave you with " the safety is blitzing", how many times did we hear that last night and our blitz didn't get home. And, why did our offense change so much after the first drive? And, why is the coach when asked at halftime why his defense was pushed around the whole first ( to the point it took us out of running game because we fell behind and knew we had to score), why does he respond with " well I thought we really started to adjust the last couple series and we need to play better complimentary football we were left in bad field positions"? I'll tell you what I think, McDermott should take more accountability! That was not the right answer to give. Finally, Marty Schottenheimer built 3 great programs......... He never won a thing. It happens.

Why is no one getting open? Concepts?

Can both these teams lose? I genuinely despise both. both fall to 6 and 3 please.

There are a million reasons to pick the Bengals in this game and far fewer to pick Bills. Having said that, this spot as an underdog , and with everyone on Bengals I'm going contrarian. I like the revenge factor and McDermott having them ready after last year. Bills 28 Bengals 24

I broke my tibia (got hit by an old lady driving through parking lot) and I can vouch for the 8-10 week people's opinion. And that was not with professional training staff. Of course this assumes that there is no other damage reported.

Game will be won in the trenches imo. Bengals whipped our butts last season with backup linemen in, and our offense couldn't run at all 19 for 67. They BTW ran for 172. Anything close to that happens again and forget it. We also played stupid ball and took 8 or 9 penalties to CIN 1 (they also were unpenalized last week at SF late in 4th).

My biggest worry going into this game is confidence of the players and coaching staff. They were abused last year by Bengals.

I like this if the price is right. He's been fine the last couple years in TB for the role he'll play.

I hear the fall back plan is calling Carolina for Donte Jackson and his 157.1 rating allowed and team leading 28.6% missed tackles.

They kicked our asses pretty good last year (including the Hamlin game). We need to have a much, much better performance at the LOS to be competitive. Our OL is better with no Bates and Saffold. On the other hand their offensive line should be better as well with Brown, Cappa and Williams in for backups who were in.
