You are correct. I remember hearing Coach Marrone, before one of the games, elaborating on the Bills struggles in the RED zone. He stated they had gone back and watched film of the successful teams in this regard. The determination was that all the teams had bigger receivers who could jump, and thus be lobbed to successfully! I think is very telling about what their perceived needs are. Just a hunch, but I think the Bills end up with Evans, Ebron or Benjamin in this draft, depending on which round and who is available at pick 9. They may be raw and require some work, but should still be able to help down near the goal line. Problem reduced! The only way I think Evans, then Ebron is taken with pick 9, and instead Benjamin in round 2 is the following; One of these guys drops and presents too much value: Watkins, Robinson (no-way) or Matthews.

I agree with this. EJ Manuel is a better prospect than ANY of the three right now. I don't see the edge any of them have on him at this point. All EJ needs to do is elevate his game into the middle third of the league this year, if he does-playoffs. The Hierarchy knows that the team around the QB has to improve in some areas. And, after the draft it will be obvious this team is a force to reckon with!

Super Job! An educated man on these boards is always welcome. I think this also backs up what the eye test shows. Perhaps the most cogent analysis I've seen on these boards.

I give them a solid B, maybe B+. Spikes helps; Graham, Rivers and Dixon will play significant roles. There seems to be some dispute about C.Williams. I think the team deserves the benefit of the doubt on this one, until otherwise proven wrong. If he is solid, it becomes a B+. Resigning Chandler and Carpenter are no-brainers at the right price. Especially Chandler, you need 2 TEs in this offense. I wouldn't rule out drafting another one.

I think that is a good call. Watkins or Robinson makes me ecstatic. Unlikley at best though!

We than trade back in the first round and pick up a second. We then take Ebron, Benjamin and Moses from VA to play RT. Or if Lewan falls trade back a couple spots, take hi; TE and deep WR class to pick from in second, and pick they get.

I would much prefer they go after Shane Skov in the third round. He is 6-2 250, Mosley smallish and injury prone.

If I have a choice between Bill Polian and RotoWorld or PFF, I know where Im going.

Thanks for pointing this article out. I sent it along to my kids, and told them the next time they think they've got it bad, they might want to reflect a little. He's as tough as they come-what more can you say.

Mel Blount would be great, can we turn back the clock? He made Richard Sherman look like Nickell Robey. The guy was a beast. Seriously we should sign a BIGGER FA receiver, and draft a BIGGER one as well. Also, do the same thing on The O-line. And along the way address the ILB. Get real, some of you people!!! We need a veteran QB on this roster. Do you want to make the playoffs or not? Vick is a good fit for this offense,and he would push EJ. He would be available along with Lewis in case of injury or poor play. He would come fairly cheap,and the could win with him.

We need productive players, not names we've heard of. This board seem to always be focused on bringing in the next big name available. Did you ever stop to ask yourself why this name player is available? I'm sure there are many other O-linemen available we don't know what their names are who more productive.

The most explosive playmaker in the Draft would look great in our Uni. If this is the case then we should go TE later on!

I really wish someone would check Kiper's record over the years. My guess is he does worse than a coin flip.

After watching them all play. I rank them :1.Robinson 2. Mathews 3.Lewan. I think Mathews is the most polished, but has less upside than Robinson, Lewan is a bit stiff in his movements for me.

,Good point. The teams that are willing to innovate, and move away from the norm will bear fruit. Just like buying stocks, you aren't looking to buy the stock today that everyone says is great, it is too late. The Oakland A's have been practicing this strategy under Billy Beane for years. It is not so much that you are re-inventing the wheel, as it is identifying undervalued assets(players in this case). And yes Seattle has done a nice job scouting, drafting and decision-making wise-they have also been the beneficiary of positive fortune. A QB making 550K leaves a lot of space on the cap.
