    I think he is anticipating pressure to get rid of Hackett after the season, and is trying to de-fang the subject. Also, the Marrone stays=Hackett stays is correct. The best you could hope for if you are not a Hackett fan is for a senior Tom Moore type helper hired in the offseason.

    I admit that I am intrigued but not ready to pull the trigger. It does require kicking the tires and due diligence because of our QB situation. Pat Kirwin believes that Cutler is much different than he is portrayed.

    He has a QB rating of about 90 this year. Jeez from what Ive heard I thought it would be in the 40s. Me smells something is wrong. Looks like a potential buy low situation.

    I thought Cutler handled himself very well. He seems like he has some class. It was much different than i expected and makes me wonder if the media hasn't created a villain. I know old school rah rah types don't like him. But, lets just say at this point I'm surprised and thought he be a jerk.

    For sure. I remember Peter King telling the story about riding to practice with Parcells early in the am for an article when they were both a lot younger. He said Bill bought every paper and read everything about the team. He then threatened the then young reporter telling him if he told anyone he looked at the stuff it would be his last interview!
