  1. One of the best, most simple, intelligent posts I've seem in awhile. Agree wholeheartedly! The Bills have one of the toughest remaining schedules, only SD is tougher. So the sentiment seems to be they go 7-9/8-8 tops. I'm wondering, and I have no evidence other than I think they have pretty unfortunate a couple times, if they don't finish stronger than many think. The past week may have created a rallying cry and another solid win this week could get the train rolling. Even a competitive loss at Denver, followed by beating Oakland, should give them momentum coming home to play Green Bay. Barring a complete disaster I don't think Marrone is fired.
  2. There are 2 keys in mind to this game. Avoiding turnovers on offense, they have created a fair amount this year- I believe 20 if memory serves me. And, secondly not giving up the big play in the passing game. They are number 1 at 14.0 YPC and now have Gordon back. We do these two things and we win IMO.
  3. Bills schedule has been a lot tougher than Browns for sure.
  4. I don't know what evidence there is for Florio to say the Browns are the better team other than a one game advantage in the standing. Would hope he was a little deeper than that.
  5. I don't need to apologize. But have noticed the improved play almost since the beginning. Kudos to the Bills for identifying an area of needed improvement and addressing it with better players.
  6. What QB can't you say that about. If he plays well we win.
  7. Rest is highly underrated!!!!!
  8. Like we can't read about this decision in the papers.
  9. Its not the player's job to take matters into his own hands!
  10. I am a subscriber to PFF, first time this year. And, I'll tell you what Im pretty disappointed, there is an awful lot that makes no sense. Your view of those sites getting a bad rap because the Bills stats aren't great is a bunch of malarkey. FO and others have had the Bills ranked very appropriately and well at times this season. Like top 10, and it matched up pretty well with what you see. I leave you with, the Bills are 5-5 not 1-9 or 0-10. Im sick and tired of some of the negative extremism on this site. People B word about drinking Bills cool aid and good teams can win no matter what the refs call. Some are just trolling and trying to cause a stir, probably. But, every now and then its nice to have a little objectivity. Try it sometime.
  11. We don't do it. But Ive noticed teams creating penalties with their passing games this season. Now thats entertainment.LOL
  12. I believe the biggest problem is the rule book and the emphasis the league has placed on certain things. It leads to inconsistency and undue influence on the outcome of games.
  13. I disagree with the notion we sucked the whole game and therefore deserved to get the game influenced by poor officiating. A 10-9 game where that safety call was made that was bad, followed by a ****ty PI call that lead to 7 pts and a 10 point deficit completely changed everything that happened afterward.
  14. As I've said on other threads, the issue is the rule book and the randomness it creates in the games. There was no need to emphasize the pass defense infractions this year. The game is at modern history highs in scoring, passing, and offense. Why the hell did they decide to introduce more penalties into the game and more room for the officials to influence outcomes.
  15. What bothers me is the so-called increased emphasis on pass defense rules this season i.e. 5 yards etc. There was no evidence this needed to happen, scoring is up to 24 ppg, yards per game trending up over 350 game, and now penalties are higher than ever! The randomness of these games related to rule book and officials calls is a joke. I suppose anybody under 30 who has grown up with this doesn't know any better. But, as an over 30 who has seen a very different and more rounded game this football is pathetic entertainment. Im started to question spending my time watching this.
  16. So I take it you like the game as is?
  17. I don't think the game is rigged or part of some conspiracy. But, I do wonder about the state of the rules in the NFL. They decided to emphasize the pass defense rules again last offseason. Why I ask? in 2012/13 the league averaged 22.8/23.4 PPG and 347.2/348.5 yards per game. QBs averaged 235.6 yards per game, this includes everyone! I think the league has gotten to the point with rules where the referees have too big an impact on the game. Just my observation. I know I'm not enjoying watching this stuff, and its not settling down as the season progresses.
  18. Even worse is his body language throughout the game. He looks like he's sulking almost all the time!
  19. Actually there is a third group, those who think they are above it all. Nothing wrong with debating or discussing Never made that argument, don't put words in my mouth. My point is and always has been that was an inconsistent call.
  20. Why do you think it is obvious the ref saw it? I mean if it takes slow motion replay to see it! I have seen that same play called offsides defense more often than not. Thats inconsistent.
  21. This is correct! Tired of the week to week on Sammy. He's a stud, we have him, and ain't letting him go. The draft was in June and is over, get over it people we're stuck with him. LMAO at the people who are so stuck on the draft.
  22. The refereeing in the NFL is laughable inconsistent due to a contrived rulebook to add offense to the game.
