  1. We need more intelligence on this board.
  2. Bills 24 Packers 23. Orton has big day. I do.
  3. Excellent point! Anybody questioning the courage of an NFL player is pathetic.
  4. That simple huh! Never want to see him again, hate him. LOL. You said he isn't a starter. What is a starter? He has starter dozens of games and we don't even have to look it up. That is a starter! He is not elite, but he can start and produce average play, given he has respectable help on offense. He can't cover up for weaknesses like Rodgers can.
  5. If and its a BIG IF the Bills somehow pull out the last 3 and make the playoffs, I want to know what the Marrone/Hackett/Orton haters will do? I think bashing those3 on this board, is more important than Bills winning and making playoffs.
  6. You think you know what you're talking about but you don't know jackshit! 10,000+ posts of utter dribble. Get some objectivity. It isn't black and white!
  7. Always so deep in your analysis! Orton Sucks, we should have stuck with Manuel. The world would be a better place. What a joke.
  8. The NFL has become a league where patience is clearly lacking and perhaps nearly impossible to practice. I agree with you wanting to be relevant for an extended period. The organization clearly, and out of necessity only focuses on the short term. I wish more teams had the intestinal fortitude to look bigger picture. We both know how difficult that is given the new reality of information dispersion today creating job pressure. I almost wonder if being able to look big picture isn't a remnant of successful organizations now because they have a longer leash.
  9. Nice Post. The truth is a funny thing. It usually lives somewhere in between and doesn't fit into a simple narrative.
  10. If (Kyle Orton/Anyone) is an average QB, and the rest of the team around him is above average to great, a TEAM can go a long way. The season is not over yet. But, if we lose Sunday, and the assessment of the season goes full force. I am not sure we will look back and feel we were above water in all areas of the team ( especially OL). And, that there was never adequate support of the QB, the skill guys or the OC. It would be interesting to see if we had better line play, especially earlier in the year, would we have made the playoffs? All areas of the team need to be under continuous improvement programs in the NFL. And, If the coaching staff offensively is not up to snuff that must be considered? However, some on here blame Marrone/Orton/Hackett for just about everything. IMHO there are areas of the team we thought were strengths coming in-and they were not ie Running game. There were areas we thought were weaknesses like Special teams-they are not. Better to focus on the whole team and try to make it better, not just blame everything on the QB and OC as being subpar. I say that IF the whole team and coaching staff had performed up to par-which is not the case. Then by all means, it is pretty obvious dump the offensive people; QB/Skill guys/OC etc. I think what people on this board get so frustrated about is, the QB isn't elite and capable of covering up other weaknesses. He is likely average and if the team/staff had done a better job we would be in the playoffs. Having said all that I hope we win out and make the playoffs....that would be-ass! Go Bills
  11. I agree with you. Some on this board don't appreciate the fact that an average player has value.
  12. MM reminds me of Kapernick. Tall, Lean and fast. His arm is strong, but not as strong as CK. He has a chance to be good in the right situation. Everyone underrates how important the context is for the player.
  13. I agree with this! Getting a great franchise QB is probably a lot more random than people think. As a strategy, you probably should draft a QB every year to provide optionality. The position is so important that you have to do it that way. Teams fool themselves into believing the old myth that you can only have one QB. Therefore since we have one we like we can't have another one around and create a controversy. Pure BS.
  14. Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Let's settle down a bit. Long way to go to be LUCK!
  15. Not me. I don't get this train of thought at all. I want the team to win and I'm not apologizing for winning with whoever the QB is.
  16. All is not lost boys! This is the NFL and it stands for NOT FOR LONG. Green Bay may be the flavor of the week. Just wait a bit and it will change. Seriously, the matchup is not a bad one for us. GB is capable of having a bad game that we help them to. We can play better at home than we have. It just might all come together.
  17. A stud for ten years and an All Pro. Given more experience and better QB play he will be at least one of the top5 in the league. I'd give him an 8 now/10 future.
  18. I find it interesting that the opening line was 6 on vegas insider and is now 5 on almost all of the spreads. That means the early money thought the line was high. I agree that Denver had a much better D after watching them the last 2 days. GB offense was scary last night and they still had to hold off a weak Atlanta team at the end.
  19. Did anyone realize we led that game into the fourth quarter, out gained and out first downed the Steelers and were 9.5 point favorites? I sure didn't. I remember that game as the Bills being completely dominated from beginning to end. Guess my memory is fading!
  20. The grass is always greener on this board. If it isn't Mike Williams, its Bryce Brown, or EJ, fire the OC, fire the coach, fire the special teams coach, blow it up ! on an on....
  21. Thanks for posting this. Very interesting and I guess you could probably say that this type of thing was coming with todays world being such. One question I have from the other side is did the referee get any kind of reprimand? Sounds like he exercised unneeded poor judgment.
