The Miami Dolphins are falling apart

Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf incoming -
I kind of took his plan as yes it is common sense. Yet, we've gotten away from it somehow and are forcing some of the draft picks to play roles that aren't working. It is more of a plan for a team that could still win it's division and make the playoffs, but stop being stubborn and acting like you're so good you are always right. Like forcing Coleman and Rapp. And, Shaq Thompson is our best LB. Some of the Bills strategies reek of stubborness and arrogance.

You should checkout Joes' podcast it always a great listen and very informative. 9 points in concise fashion 1. Get back to mismatches as our big people are our strength on offense. 11-12-22 formations etc. and throw from it more as well. 2. Use Keon Coleman less, he has the most snaps and targets of any receiver. 3. Use Kincaid and Palmer more. 4. Use the Backs more in the pass game (doesn't understand where this went to). 5. Get Larry O and Hoecht up to speed and reduce the DL snaps by rookies and practice squad guys. Easy one. 6. Shaq Thompson is our best LB and needs to be treated as such. Try Bernard some at WLB. 7. Get Hairston going soon. Mentions ramping up and platooning and having ready by late season and playoffs. 8. Replace Taylor Rapp with Poyer. Not optimal, but addition by subtraction. 9. Workout a trade for WR who can stretch and cause some fear, mentions Olave and Shaheed (PR too). Many of us have mentioned some of these. The Coleman thing and being treated as if the #1 is shocking to me. We have stopped using the backs receiving as much as last year and its inexplicable. The reinforcements are self explanatory, but the safety question is bleak. All in all, there is hope, if they make some of the correct moves and don't be stubborn.

I've always liked Fields ever since I saw him on the high school QB1 show some years back. He's a good guy, high character, intelligent and an outstanding athlete. Having said that, I feel like his process and release is extremely slow. I suspect his days as a starter are now over. Good Luck Justin.

They should keep playing both these guys for another 10 years! Keep Glenn to.

I don't know I just watched video of him vs Az in week 5 and he looked like exactly what we need. He caught 5 for well over a hundred and was busting through seams to get open. I think with JA17 and not Cam Ward it would be great! What I don't know is what his contract is like off hand? If anyone knows please pass along, don't have time to research.

Some rules that I think are dumb
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
The soccer offside rule is a joke! I know, I know, old line soccer people don't like it criticized. I hate to see players winning with speed to get open and the defender steps up to put him Offside. Oh wait was this american football? -
Down Tyler Rapp should not be on the field Not addressing the WR boundary positions properly when it is an obvious negative Injuries make it hard to judge, especially with younger guys Up Delone Walker has been a pleasant surprise Dalton Kincaid is a blossomimg into a star TE James Cook hasn't missed a beat with the holdout

There's enough blame to go around for everyone. I expect ,starting at the top with McD and on down through the coords. and position coaches to the players to figure this crap out . Both the plan and execution on both sides of the ball were subpar the last 2 weeks. Nitpicking stuff about what % each is responsible for and is mostly unknown. It is for them to figure out and execute now . As a fan, it pisses me off that we didn't seem to have a plan for their blitzing when they are #1 in most blitzes and escalated it. Yes Josh bears some responsibility, but he also got the crap beat of him and was knocked off his game. The receivers are not as good as Beane thinks. And, the defense doesn't get off the hook as they gave up 335 yards in ONE HALF and were lucky to only give up 21. Not good enough to play from behind and expect Allen to win in it with crap around him and OC who just says I'm gonne run my stuff. The last 2 weeks were colossal failure of everyone responsible in the organization.

I can't help but feel like all the people saying yes we'll make the playoffs are being overly optimistic. It wouldn't take much more from looking at schedule and the direction we're headed to end up 8-9, 9-8. UNLESS, UNLESS. MCDermott and Beane do what they need to do. Replace Babich, Get a playmaker or 2 and hope we get healthier and that the reinforcements/ young players get better and improve. Otherwise this could get ugly following our present course. -
Yes Beane needs to take the Lion's share of the blame, his last couple of drafts in particular look really bad. McDermott can right the ship by demanding/doing a couple things. 1. Demand that we get a playmaker on the outside(Jeudy?) and better yet 2 of them. This defense has no chance if our offense isn't percolating and right now we DO NOT have the personnel. 2. Fire Babich and promote one of his D position coaches (Holcomb or Nielsen). We need a fresh approach on that side of the ball. He is overmatched and our guys still can't get lined up. Other than that, we have to hope for improved health, getting guys back from suspensions and improvement from young guys.

Bottom Line: Drafting Allen and getting him has masked how inept the organization is. -
