Godwin injury ... hip drop???
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
They never call it. I wonder why they bothered to put it in. Seems like they listened to all the complaining from defensive players and let it go. -
Keeping it in perspective, Bills win percentage
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills are in a great spot, just keep improving and fixing the areas we can. We'll be fine, if we can stay reasonably healthy. -
Ray Davis and James Cook
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to Italian Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watching Ray Davis highlights and he really has tremendous balance. He spins out of hits and keeps his balance moving forward like Thurman Thomas did. We're lucky to have 2 really good backs on the cheap. -
Another overly technical NFL rule.......that is all

NFL has always been driven by the 21-45 year old group. As someone mentioned, the game as that group knows it ,contains numerous delays due to replays, bad calls etc., and the ratings are at a 9 year high. It may be declining to some of the other age groups, for example, I only care to watch the Bills or if nothing else is going on one of the competitors for a playoff spot in the AFC. Which brings me to my next point..... The Sunday afternoon culture that is now ingrained in most of us through many generations plays an important role as well. Granpa, Dad, Older brother etc. down to sons and grandsons. It's like going to church. In Summary, combining the above with more and more betting, leads to continued profits for the league. I don't necessarily think that it leads to better product and more entertainment. It is what it is, nothing runs forever. But as a 60 year old man, i agree with alot of what the OP said, I don't find it as enjoyable. Is it because I've been there and seen it all a million times or because the product is not as fun for me? Probably a little of both. However, with all the changes we are experiencing as a society (technology, streaming etc.) don't be surprised if the NFL isn't on easy street forever. People only have so much free time and they want it to be entertaining or they will find something else to do.

I like that we have some nasty dudes up front who play on the edge.

6 Games In, Josh Allen Has 0 INT's
D. L. Hot-Flamethrower replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Aikman had been drafted by the Lions and not the Cowboys .......... I mean it's kind like him saying Josh should have some interceptions. -

Facts! The Bills in last 4 seasons are 13-15 in one score games and 25-2 in others. The common denominator- McDermott No team presented with the same situation in the last 45 years has throw 3 straight passes inside the 5. We threw 3 straight low completion % passes and no driver starters or dump offs. We made these decisions on a day when we ran for 150 yards and Josh was 9 for 30 and harassed the whole game. Coaching malpractice yesterday-again. There are guys sitting on couches and on bar stools who make better decisions. We have Marty Schottenheimer as our coach. His style wins games during the season and gets you beat in playoffs.
