  1. The front office was obviously just as annoyed as we were watching defenders fly by Saffold and Bates in 2-3 steps and making them look like turnstiles consistently last season. They are finally investing in the O-Line with young and hungry players instead of aging discounted vets that are passed their prime. A little worried about his size limiting his movement, but our strength and conditioning staff should be able to help him there. Excited to have a huge mauler on the line again, though.
  2. Protect Allen at all costs......
  3. Got a guy we were talking about at 27
  4. There are going to be a few good players at our pick. May consider a trade down if the right offer is there.
  5. Ugghh....the Dolphins got a good one there.
  6. I know.....just pointing out how annoying it is not to announce these picks in real time.
  7. Miami is on the clock and they haven't announced the Steelers pick yet.....
  8. Steelers just took one of the guys I wanted....
  9. They are like 2 or 3 picks behind on the tv....
  10. Bryan Bresee is gone already. That said, this is a Bills specific board. There are other really good players still out there that haven't been drafted yet. The Bills are going to have a chance at a great player tonight in the 2nd. I'd be thrilled with Benton, Bergeron, Sanders, among others. Like I said, there are more really good players still on the board that aren't listed here that I would be happy to have as well, although many of them will be gone by the time we pick. But I'm excited to see what's there. Wish we had more ammo to move up if we wanted to, but we should still have some solid choices at 59. Ideally, 5-6 of these guys will be there and we can move down a bit to maybe add a 5th to try and make up for that 4th we spent yesterday and still get a guy, but I would have no problem sticking and picking because there will be some solid players available.
  11. Just wait until tonight and tomorrow when they are like 5 picks behind on TV. I don't think anyone would have a problem with not tipping picks if they announced them immediately after they are turned in. The problem is that the NFL and the broadcasts have decided for some reason to wait several minutes after picks are made to let viewers know what they are. Some people want to actually keep up with the draft in real time and not broadcast time and I don't see anything wrong with that. If the picks are made, they are made. They aren't going to change. So, let's have them when they are made. This is a big issue every year because of the lazy approach TV has announcing the picks. And it's only going to get worse this weekend when the time in between picks is shorter. There will be times 5-7 picks get made before they are announced on TV. I can't believe some think this is OK.
  12. I'm willing to bet that most everyone that is complaining about the pick probably hasn't watched a single snap Kincaid has played in his career and are just down on the pick because of the position he's listed at. And I get that, especially for those that were so locked in at WR being the pick no matter what. But I encourage those people to take a step back and actually put the time in to watch some tape of the guy......not necessarily just highlight reels (although they are a fun watch), but actual full games. He's a match-up nightmare. Some of his most impactful plays are the plays he doesn't even get the ball. He opens up things for other guys. While he's not the best blocker, he's functional at it. He's willing, but needs to add a bit of strength and refine his technique a bit. But being willing to do it is half the battle. What really stands out, again whether he gets the ball or not, is his route running and hands. Look, I am not comparing him to Kelce just yet, but you know how frustrating it is to watch Kelce play in and play out seem to be wide open all the time? Kincaid always seems to be open as well and offers much of that same frustration for opponents. He has great hands and can hurt you at every level of the field. He'll snap off the curl routes. He'll run the option routes. He'll catch the ball off motion in the backfield. Need someone to run the seam? He'll do that too. A lot of the success he has this year will come down to how creative Dorsey can get with him. Granted, I'm nervous that Dorsey might be in over his head a bit and may not have the required creativity, but we have to hope he can figure it out. If I'm Dorsey, I'm running Chiefs tape constantly and transferring their usage of Kelce straight to our playbook. Again, I am not saying he's Kelce, but we can hope for "Kelce light" and do a lot of similar things with him. It will take some time. TE is usually one of those positions that takes a while to translate to the NFL, but this guy plays smart and being that they won't be using him much inline and almost exclusively as a pass catcher should shorten the learning curve early on. So, those of you that are upset.....take a breath. Find some All-22 tape on him and actually watch him play. I think you'll relax a bit. Finally.....just a quick add to this. I have always been a firm believer that an easy way to have success in the NFL is to make sure you do something that nobody else is doing. That way, when teams play you, they have to prepare for something that they don't see all the time and it may force them to do things on defense they don't normally do. There aren't a lot of teams out there right now that can run 12 personnel with sustained success because they just don't have the weapons to do it. Kincaid immediately comes in and becomes one of the best route running and catching TEs in the league. While his overall game may take some time to translate, there will be packages we will be able to run in 12 with Knox that will create real difficult match-ups for defenses that they will have to adapt to in-game even though he won't be playing a majority of snaps. That in itself will hopefully give us somewhat of an advantage this year, and even more of an advantage as he learns the NFL game over the next few years.
  13. The dude is a weapon. While his blocking leaves the something to be desired, but he could be "Kelce light" with his route running. Might be the best overall pass catcher in the draft regardless of position. If he can translate his game to the NFL quickly, he will make plays for us and fill in the missing slot position we don't have. Blocking can be taught if he's willing to learn. May not be a WR by trade, but he is a weapon on offense and I'm all for that.

  15. Bills on the clock!
  16. That one hurt our chances at getting a WR. Too many others, including the Chargers right here, looking at WR. The good news is that there are still very good players on the board and we should hopefully get one of them.
  17. Pats* traded down and still have the chance to maybe the best CB in the draft...... or JSN if they want to go that way, but man the board fell well for them. Stinks.
  18. In other words, the bidding war they were trying to create with all of their "leaks" didn't materialize the way they hoped and they don't want to admit they are going to have to settle or cut him.
  19. Terrible trade for Houston. Amazing haul for the Cards.
  20. Von already confirmed the interest. The Bills are definitely in on it. How serious, we don't know, but the Bills are there for sure.
  21. The more reports about Hopkins that come out, the more I am convinced this is all coming from Arizona. I truly believe they are just spewing everything they can to every outlet that will listen to try and drive up the price. A couple weeks ago it was pretty much just the Bills and the Chiefs weren't even involved. Then it comes out that they are involved and it was between the Bills and Chiefs (how convenient that it is 2 of the teams that are in direct competition with each other for the AFC). Now it's the Bills, Chiefs, and Ravens. Then, all of a sudden he is going to be included in a package to the Titans. To me, and of course I could be wrong, but this screams Arizona leaking anything and everything they can to try and get more than what is on the table. Whether it's the Bills or some other team, I'd be shocked if they get an inflated price. But, good on them for trying. Of course they should.
  22. Dude has 65 followers....... Ignore this.
  23. Seems like it's about a Jackson extension based on things out there. The question will become whether a Hopkins trade might be in addition to it.
  24. Jamison Hensley @jamisonhensley Just got a text: "Good news on the way for the Ravens." Jackson extension? Hopkins trade? Both? The pizza has been ordered for the war room? Could mean anything, but everyone wants scoops and wants them now.
  25. I won't be mad if he ends up with the Ravens because I don't see him putting that team over the top or anything like that. If he ends up going to the Chiefs......that's a different story.
