  1. Still think not going for it on 4th and 2 was a major mistake.
  2. Well, what are you gonna do on that one......
  3. More crappy zone coverage on 3rd down
  4. I know he's banged up, and he's got a tough matchup, but McGovern has been awful.
  5. Tre not having a good tackling night.
  6. I said going into this game that the weakness of the Jets are the LBs in coverage over the middle of the field. You can count on a couple of fingers how much we have tested that part of the field. Kincaid and Knox should have double the targets they do. That's on Dorsey.
  7. Nice series for the D. Outside of that last throw, I have been OK with the way Allen has played, but it's time to settle down a bit. Diggs should be the first read because he is HIM. But if he is not one on one, he should be immediately looking for Kincaid. Dude is open and basically 10 yards + guaranteed. Stop with the delayed hand-off that is putting us behind the sticks as well. Not good on 3rd down right now.
  8. Defense isn't playing terrible, but these handful of big plays are killers.
  9. Nice stop. Held them to 3. Now we need to go get 7 ourselves.
  10. Not only are we getting nothing out of the MLB position, but it is a major liability. Made a nice tackle on that last play, but we need more. Need to figure out something there. Now find a way to get off the field only giving up 3!
  11. I like the fact that Allen was a lot more patient than he was at the end of last season and taking the check down quite a bit. He has a couple catches already, but Kincaid could be a bigger factor in the 2nd half. He's been open, and has turned up field on both his catches. He's getting open underneath. Feed him and force them out of the Cover 2.
  12. Frustrating finish to that drive. But, the good news is that we have a 2 score lead on the road against a good defense at the half and we haven't played our best yet. Hopefully we can get things turned around at the half and come out and finish these drives with TDs instead of FGs in the 2nd half. We're moving the ball OK, but we need more out of the offense in the 2nd. And, as bad as the defense has been on a few plays, only giving up 3 is good stuff. We'll take only giving up 3 in the 2nd half too.
  13. Tre needs to make that tackle. Ugh. Should have been a 1 yard gain. Instead it is 83.
  14. Just like a punt......fine. Couldn't tell if he had enough room to take off and run for it, though. If he did, he should have. But the play calling to this point hasn't been great. Not a fan of the game plan so far.
  15. Still playing zone on 3rd and long I see......
  16. Ugh....I want to win, but man I hope Rodgers is OK.
  17. Gotta finish that. Great play by Groot, but you have to finish that.
  18. The Chargers literally did everything wrong on defense when you are facing the Dolphins. You have all offseason to study how to contain that offense and basically did the exact opposite of what works against them. The Chargers coaching staff is just brutal and ruined what what have been a great start to the NFL season. Very overrated team. Oh well..... It's on us to cap off the week with a W.
  19. 2 separate points, but you already knew that. Point is, the 90% of the QB play today has been awful. And yes....we know it's week 1. Doesn't change the point of how bad it has been so far.
  20. I'm sure part of it is just because it is the first half of the first game of the season for these teams, but there is not a lot of quality football being played except for the 49ers. Burrow stinks Watson stinks Jackson stinks You could go on an on about the QB play today. Just awful for the most part. Purdy is playing good, but that team is just loaded with talent. It will be interesting to see how thing change as we go along, but so far, these highest paid QBs in history are having a very rough go of it. I can't get over how bad Burrow has been. He sees pressure even being sent, and he is getting happy feet and panicking even if the pressure doesn't get there. Guess the key is to get him moving because he hasn't been good at all.
  21. And when we win by double digits on Monday, they're all going to either wonder why the Jets aren't as good as they thought they would be, or, they will just say it's week 1 and it doesn't matter. Maybe you will get a couple saying that maybe the Bills were written off too soon, but it won't be many of them if there is any at all. It's all fine. Rather just fly under the radar.
  22. I have no idea where this 4.71, 40 time is coming from. He didn't participate in the Combine and he didn't run at his Pro Day either. This is a completely made up number. In fact, because he didn't run, he was asked in an interview shortly after he was drafted what his time would have been had he run and he himself said it would have been 4.5-4.55. So, he is a mid 4.5 guy based on his own training times and if you watch the guy's film from college, that is exactly what it looks like on tape. So, ignore this made up time of 4.71. Regardless of his speed, what makes his special is his footwork and his power out of his breaks. That is where he creates his separation. Sure, the speed will help him get more RAC, but it is not the reason he gets open. His hips and ankles, combined with how low he can get out of his breaks, and then this burst out of his breaks is what is going to get him open, especially against LBs that can't move real well. As long as he stays healthy in his career, I have no doubt that he will be the best TE this team has ever had. We've never had a guy at this position that moves like he does. The bar isn't high to be the best in team history, but not only do I think he will be the best pass catching TE we've ever had, but with Allen as his QB, he has a chance to be an all time great with his combination of size, speed, route running, and catching ability.
