He's more than looked the part as many of us expected. While it's been nice to see him involved, I honestly believe he should see even more targets. I thought this before I saw these numbers based on film study I've done, but man.....these numbers are insane. Over 4 yards of separation on pass routes? That's crazy. So yeah.....get this man some more targets.

Yeah......this is one of the things that gets forgotten about last week. When Josh was doing the right thing, we were moving the ball down the field. But, unlike today, he got antsy and impatient and wanted to hit bigger plays and it just killed our offense. Had he just taken what was there all day, just like he did today, we would have probably put up 26-30 points 400+ yards of offense and would have won a fairly boring game by double digits.

I don't really see a path to the Pats* winning. Obviously, it feels crappy to have to root for them, but hey.....whatever's best for us, right? Maybe they keep it close? Don't think they can score enough to win, though.

He has been great these first couple weeks. The whole defensive line has. Can't wait to see a healthy Miller added to this group.

Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)

Here's the deal. It stinks that he's inactive. Obviously, you want your first round pick to play. But it's a numbers game on gameday and not everyone can be active. He hasn't earned the right to have that jersey consistently. But make no mistake about it. He will play this year. It's still football and injuries and poor play happen. He will get a chance and it's up to him what he does with it when the time comes ' -
Hyde limping a bit? Hammy maybe? Might be time to rest him the rest of the game. May have lost a step, but he's still the best option we have a safety. Can't afford to get him beat up.
-
Haven't peeked in there but they must have told him to line up on the line and he just can't do it.

Fine drive, but Dorsey is killing me in the redzone. We're telling Allen to stick with what's working, but his OC needs to be told the same thing! He's called a great game between the 20's. But immediately forgetting what has gotten you down there every time and moving the the gun 100% of the time has been frustrating in the rezone. I'm not saying you can't use it, but man......switch it up once in a while.
-
Ugh.......redzone happens and it's back to the gun 100%. Only thing I haven't liked about today. Use play action and hit the open guys. It's worked all the way down the field. Why stop?
-
Now stay under center!!!
-
Still can't run a screen, though......
-
That's Allen doing Allen things. Perfect opening drive. Need to see more under center with more play action late in the drive. Dorsey seems to get away from that too fast. But overall, that is what you want to see in a drive. Methodical with everyone contributing.
-
I get both sides here. I go for it because even if you don't get it, you make them go the length of the field. Kick and you go up by 2 tds.
-
QB sneak.....no need to get fancy. Grab the tush and push!!!

It was a throw away.....

That is the Allen I want to see game in and game out. Sure.....would I like him to avoid taking those hits? Of course. But it's just who he is and I am not sure that will ever change. But the rest of it was exactly what I've been asking him to do. Defenses want to play him deep? Fine......I want Allen taking the free stuff all day. Notice as soon as he was 9-9, 10-10, 11-11, etc, the Raiders started getting antsy themselves. They jumped early and Allen killed them down the field on a free play. Then, a couple plays later, he got Diggs 1 on 1 down the field and drew a flag. And not only that, it is opening holed in the run game and a bunch of guys are contributing because he's spreading the ball around. I still think Kincaid has to be more involved, but that will come. Getting Allen under center and utilizing play action is huge as well. He's so much more efficient. Hoping to see a repeat of the first half in the second. Just because we're up, I don't want to see him starting to push the ball. You're on pace for 300+ yards of total offense and 4 TDs doing what you did in the first half. As long as Allen realizes he doesn't need to do more than that, he will be fine. Keep on keepin' on in the 2nd half here and watch where you end up.

Wow......what a throw....
-
Too cute..... Just need to pound it there. That was on Dorsey. Went all the way down the field with Allen under center and using play action. Get to the redzone and 100% gun. Not ideal play calling there although Diggs was open for a TD in the back of the endzone.
-
Allen under center and using play actions is a welcome sight. This is the offense we expected to see.
-
Shakir with a nice block on the return.
-
This defensive line is coming on....... Can't wait to have Miller join Groot, Floyd, and Oliver on passing downs.
-
Poyer is shot..... I think we're going to see a brand new safety tandem next year. They just can't run anymore.
-
That is the exact drive Allen needed to have. Took everything underneath that was there and systematically moved the chains. Defenses want to play us deep? Fine. If Allen continues to do what he just did on that drive, eventually defenses will be forced to come down and play a bit tighter and that's when he can take the shot. He did it with Davis on the free play as he should have and then took the shot to Diggs when he had the chance and got the flag. He continues to do that, he will become insanely tough to defend. Unfortunately, we can't cover Adams and get the ball back to him to continue the lesson we hope he's learning.
-
Allen being patient and taking the gimmies. Let's see if he can do it all the way down the field.
-
Didn't matter because the ball was batted down, but Oliver was literally tackled on that play in the backfield with no call.
