Imagine watching Josh Allen play and still believing that he is overrated. Scratch that..... Imagine watching Josh Allen play and think there is a better football player in the league. Mahomes gets all the hype, and he's great for sure, but Allen is every bit as good. In my opinion, Allen's better because he can do everything Mahomes can do, but he can also do things that no other player can do as well.

9/23/24 GAMEDAY Bills vs Jaguars MNF PREGAME THREAD
sven233 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mentioned last week how bad my luck has been when it comes to betting games lately and how I bet on the Dolphins to win last week to ensure a Bills win. My bet on the Jags to win has just been placed. GO BILLS! -
So far my only observation of these teams is that they both seem to play good defense, but they are very average at best on offense. Although the Jets just scored, I don't see either of these teams being able to light up the scoreboard on a regular basis. But, they will probably each win some games this season if they can score 17-20 points.

Hopefully someday that horseshoe that KC has up their butts falls out. Unfortunately, it is crammed so far up there, that it is almost impossible to jar it loose...... Won't be anytime soon, but maybe someday.

Yeah......no LB is getting that. Again, yes, he's an edge, but there is absolutely no way I am paying almost 30 million for 4 years for him. Good player, but at 30 years old, that kind of money is out of the question for me.

I don't think he would. Just saying I'd make the call to hear it for myself, though. Doesn't hurt to pick up the phone. I mean, as the player, I completely understand why he doesn't want to play under his current deal. He is only owed like a million in cash and carries a cap hit of less than that. All of his money from his current deal has basically been paid. He's 29 and wants one more big deal. But I am wondering what kind of money he's looking for. What term is he looking for? If I am Beane, the GM of a team that still, at least through 2 weeks, looks like a Super Bowl contender, am picking up the phone to find out. Worst case scenario is that he's way out of your price range, which he probably is, and you just move on to your next target. But I think you at least have to make the call. I mean, he doesn't perfectly fit the type of LB we need. He's an edge, but he's been a great player. I don't know. I just don't want to throw in the towel at the position and just hope for the best with the guys we have. Spector can't stay healthy himself. And, as great as Buffalo Joe was in the preseason, I am not ready for him to be anchoring this defense the rest of the season. Gotta figure something out.

I don't know if it would be possible with the current cap situation, and the fact that he wants a new contract anyway, but I wonder if the Jets would consider trading Haason Reddick to us and if he would want to come in and play for us. Obviously, we would probably have to do a couple of things to move some money around to fit him in, but I can't help but think a phone call should at least be made. It's probably an extreme long shot, but if I'm Beane, I am absolutely making a call. Worst case scenario you just move onto the next guy you're looking at.

Week 2 - Bills at Fins - Post game thread
sven233 replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was a great win tonight, and we can absolutely enjoy it for a few days. But, as much as it pains me to think about, we have to figure out a way to right a lot of wrongs and beat the Jags next Monday night. For whatever reason, the dumbest things keep happening to us against that team and we can never beat them even when we are by far the superior team. It seems like every time we play them we get a bunch of devastating injuries, fluke things happen, and we never look like the team we know we are against them. So, yeah.....rest up and enjoy this win, but it's time to find a way to right a bunch or wrongs from over the last several years. -

If I'm the Bills, I make sure that doesn't happen. White is much better than Trubisky. -

I purposely put money on the Dolphins to win and their skill guys to go off tonight knowing full well that my betting streak has been absolutely awful as of late. So, I basically bought the Bills a win tonight. You're welcome.- 487 replies

Miami and their fans love to talk..... The Bills just show up and show out. Allen still owns them and basically beat them in one half with one injured hand tied behind his back...... GO BILLS! Ps. Really hope and pray Tua is OK. Even if he's cleared in a few weeks, and as much as I and all of Bills Mafia wish he would be their QB for the next decade, he really needs to think about what is best for himself and his family. -

I'm actually really glad we don't have a game for a while. Because of the score effects of this blowout, we've gotten a little sloppy and are not executing crisply anymore. Don't want some bad habits developing. -

I will be very interested to look at this tape and see what happened to Coleman. Haven't heard his name once. I mean, this offense through 2 weeks has absolutely lived up to the "Everybody Eats" philosophy. Coleman made a couple plays last week and did nothing tonight. Kincaid did little last week, but has made an impact tonight. It will probably be that he just wasn't open tonight, but there are going to be games like this for him. -

Will have to look at the All 22. It's tougher to know what is going on, especially against Miami. Their scheme calls for our ends to be a little more disciplined and not just rush up field constantly. They do have to hold contain with all the misdirection Miami uses. I know there have been a couple times he has been doubled for sure because I was watching him on those plays, but I don't know about the rest of the time. -

He's been good tonight..... was good last week as well. A return to even 90% of what he once was would be great for us.
