I agree......good pick. Good to see we are not the only team reaching in the draft. But, the more I think about it, we might not have reached as far as we first thought.......4 DBs already off the board.

Just a quick note.......it is a little interesting to see that Winston Justice is STILL on the board at 18. Not sure where he is going, but it has to be soon!

One more thing.......during the interview with Fletcher, he made a comment along these lines.... Fletcher said he is a younger, faster, stronger version of Lawyer Milloy. I'd take that at #8 if it turns out that way!

It has been reported.....in fact, Fletcher was just on WGR doing an interview.........said his work ethic is second to none. I am sure Fletcher's interview will be in the Audio Vault soon.

OK, OK.....I have cooled down a bit. Even though I thought the pick was too high, I still like the player. Here is the thing....Whitner works out with Fletcher and Spikes. They rave about the guy's work ethic and for his desire. He is ALWAYS around the football. He can make plays. He is solid in run support. He hits hard and is a strong tackler. He is fast. He runs around 4.36 so he can stay with even the best receivers. He can cover TEs one on one. He plays with a mean streak! His only real weakness is his size. He is only 5'11". So, he will have a little troubel with the taller receivers, however, he does have a 40" verticle leap. So, he can make up for his lack of height in that way. The big thing, and I think the reason he was drafted by the Bills is this....HIS ATTITUDE! He is a "FOOTBALL PLAYER." I know that gets over used, but it is true with this guy. While I still think it might be a bit high, I think he is a solid player and will be our SS for many years to come. Also, it doesn't hurt that Spikes and Fletcher love the guy. Nobody has a better work ethic than they do. So, if you like and respect those guys, don't be too upset with Whitner. I think he will be a good fit for this team.

We are the new "Jets" of the NFL Draft......... Again, I like Whitner, but he was a mid 1st Round pick....

I'm sitting here just thinking about this.........and I still can't believe this happened.

Well. what do we do now......looking to the 2nd round.....Maybe someway, somehow we get Mangold? He is the best Center to come out in years. He will be gone before our pick in the 2nd, but we could trade up. But, with Marv in charge here, I don't see much good in this draft.

Here is what I think happened......THE BILLS GOT FLUSTERED They wanted Huff. He was taken and they were flooded with calls and they did not know what to do. Before they knew it, time was up and they needed to do something. I just think they had no clue what they wanted to do after Huff went off the board. Marv is failing BIG TIME at GM.

Arizona wanted to trade up to #8......we probably could have gotten a 3rd and we still would have had Whitner.... I like Whitner........but this is nuts.

WOW......this is soooooo messed up. How can you take that guy at 8 when he would have been there at 14 or 15?
