Well, the Jets are getting ready for the Draft. They get a good one! Yesterday, we reported that Holmes is facing a four-game suspension under the substance abuse policy. Tonight, we're told that the Steelers have traded Holmes to the New York Jets. More to come.

As long as there is NO TEBOW (unless it is round 4,5 or later), I am pretty good. In terms of the first, I would have to go with Taylor Mays.

I agree with the idea.....just not the players. Derrick Morgan is strictly a 4-3 end in my opinion. I think he would struggle greatly with pass coverage and he doesn't have the size to play a 3-4 end. We basically already have a version of Morgan in Maybin. Unlike some, I don't think getting a pass rush out of Maybin will be the tough part. I think he will struggle with pass coverage as well. However, I do believe he is a really good athlete and may be able to pick it up. Point is, I think Maybin is a very similar player in a lot of ways....just a little smaller. We don't need 2 conversion guys out there in a brand new defense. Where I agreee with you is Cody. I know he may battle weight issues, but Wilfork won't soon be confused with a body builder either. I think Cody can be a huge force in the middle of our 3-4 defense on the first couple downs. In obvious passing situations, Kyle Williams can man the nose in the 3-4 to try and generate some extra pass rush. I really like Cody and I hope he is the man in the 2nd. In fact, I wouldn't be opposed to trading up back into the late first to make sure we get him. You're right....we can't fix everything in 1 year. That is why I have been constantly saying that we should not even look at a QB this year. The draft class is much better at QB next year. So, I am out to fill in as many holes as possible this year and then get my new QB in next year's draft. I want a lot of big people in this draft. I want O-Line and D-Line on a regular basis and hope we can get a star or 2 out of the draft. I will then worry about the skilled positions next year. Build my O-line and Front-7 and we'll be in a good place next year to add the skill guys.

Yeah.....1990 was special.....and so were the years that followed. Just thinking about how good we were at one time brings back so many emotions. Believe me, I will never forget everything that went into getting to the Super Bowl that season. But it doesn't make it any less painful. In fact, it may make it even more painful. I still believe deep down inside that we were the best team in the world that season. I honestly believe if that game is played 10 times, we win just about the rest of them. But that night......for whatever reason.....it just wasn't meant to be. Many people point to the kick, but the defense just didn't get get it done. Missed tackles.....missed opportunities everywhere. Sure, the offense scored over a point per minute of posession time, but they just didn't get enough opportunities. There is a million ways to break that game down.....it isn't just about that kick.....but that is what everyone will always remember. But yeah, I agree that 1990 was special. It always will be. 51-3 is probably my all time Bills high. There is a lot of things to be proud of that year. Unfortunately, in the end......that's what we will feel every day until we win this thing. JUST 1.....

We need a stat that shows the amount of attempts made between 15-25 yards (IN THE AIR). THis is where Trent struggles. He has not Ba**s to throw it down the middle of the field. He doesn't anticipate WRs coming open. Trent throws 3 basic passes......The dump off, the 5-7 yard check to a TE or WR, and a deep ball. HE HAS NO INTERMEDIATE GAME which is where the real QBs feast on defenses. If he comes back with a better understanding of how routes develop and how defenses play these intermediate routes and actually has the courage to throw the ball to those intermediate routes (especially to the middle of the field) on a regular basis, he does have a chance. The thing that bothers me about Trent is that I have seen him make the throws. I KNOW he can make the throws. But usually he only throws them when he absolutely has to (and even then he checks down a lot). I remember when he cam in as a rookie.....he made the throws I am talking about. Somewhere along the way, he lost it. Could be from the concussion....could be from Dicky J and his high school offense. I don't underestimate that. I think the offense he was in would have given better QBs than Trent some trouble. No creativity makes it a lot easier for the defense and tough on the QB. As far as I am concerned, I am giving every QB on this team a blank slate. I don't care who does what. Whoever performs the best in Gailey's new offense should be the starter. Forget everything you have seen. I'm looking forward. If Trent proves to be the best option in this new offense, then good for him and I will be behind him. If it is someone else, I will be behind them. I just want the guy that gives us the best chance to win in the new offense.

I guarantee you that many Bills fans want the Super Bowl win more than the owner does. In a way it's sad....in a way it is a true testament to what makes Bills fans the best in the league. Bills fans are a different breed and that is what sets us apart. There is no fanbase that would appreciate a Championship more than Bills fans would.

I know exactly how you feel. It's really hard to explain. I love this team so much.....with a passion. This team generates so many emotions and feelings. It really can't be explained. It can only be experienced. It is impossible not to get choked up. Shortness of breath.....It is a feeling that only this team (the Sabres do it for me as well) can bring out. Like I said, it can't be explained. It can't be put into words. It is experienced. People always ask me how I stick with this team. I really can't answer them because if you don't feel it, there is no way of knowing what this is all about. I always tell people that it will mean that much more to us WHEN we win a Championship. I may physically break down when it happens. It will be a feeling like no other. The Bills are special. They are a part of me. They mean more than words could justify. JUST 1.........I just want 1.

They just showed this again on NFL Network. I swear.....it is 20 years later and this eats at me EVERY DAY....... Just seeing it, looking at it.....remembering it......feeling it. No words can describe it. It is still as painful now as it was back then, maybe even more. It is so hard.......I guess that is why I am a Bills fan. I BLEED RED, WHITE, AND BLUE!!!! JUST 1.....I JUST WANT 1. There is no city that deserves it more. There is no fan base that deserves a Super Bowl win more. JUST 1 LET'S GO BILLS!!!!!!!

Tebow lovers are not going to like this, but just watching the highlights of some of his throws, he looks uncomfortable and looks like he is concentrating too much on the release. It is forced and very mechanical. Looks pretty ugly. I think he may be trying so hard to change everything, he will be an absolute mess when live games start because he will be so confused as to what to do. Playing QB in the NFl is tough enough as it is......if he has to think about his release every time he drops back, it will take away from reading defenses (which he really can't do yet anyway) and it could get really ugly really fast. STAY AWAY FROM TEBOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I guess I should have added to my post that i really don't want to think about QB at all this year. I want to fill in the other holes this year and then do what I need to do in next year's draft to get my new QB. Next year's QB class is a lot better than this years, especially the guys at the top. So, I want to focus on filling in other holes this year and then do whatever I need to do to get the QB I decide on next season.....that may even mean trading up if necessary. But this team is a couple years away from competing anyway, so I would rather no settle for the QBs this year and do everything I need to do to get my QB of choice in next year's draft. This serves 2 purposes. It allows me to fill in more holes this year and also get a better evaluation of where this team is at. Remember, new scheme, new coaches. Just because players did not succeed under Dicky J, doesn't mean they won't find a fresh start this year under Gailey and company. So, by not going QB this year, it gives the staff a full year to see who they like and who they don't. Then, we'll find a QB next draft that is best suited to run whatever the new system will be that is getting installed. With all this said, ficus on all of the other holes this year, and take your pick of the of the better QB class next season.

If it's me, I would be going big guys in the first 3 rounds (if the right guys are there). Taking a LT in the first with either a RT or NT in the 2nd with whatever piece I didn't get in the 2nd in the 3rd. This will pretty much finish off the complete rebuilding of the O-Line. If it's me, I am not even looking at QB until the late rounds, if at all. Give me lots of big guys in this draft. Let's start winning in the trenches. Give me a dominant O-Line and a dominant Front 7 on defense and I will will lots of games.

Anything but 4th round or later.........PASS......... Even that may be early for a guy that can't read a defense and has a questionable arm. Been through too many of this guys, lately.

I know.....I love all these people that come out here and say that McKelvin has been a bust and that DF out-played him and that he will never amount to anything. FACT IS, he had a pretty good rookie year and played all of 1 full game and maybe a Quarter of the 2nd game before getting injured. All that being said, even though, technically, this will be his 3rd year, with him missing pretty much the entire season last year it is almost like going into his second season all over again. Relax everyone......he is VERY YOUNG and has a bright future. This year will not "make or break" him in any way. My guess.....he comes back strong and has a VERY solid year. He has a lot of talent and I think he will be a player for us for many years!

One thing this does say is that WR in now a "NEED" position. Sure, Hardy and Johnson can see more playing time, but we are now back to being a team without a true #2 WR. Gonna need to address that. I guess I may be secretly hoping that the Bills may be one of the teams targeting Boldin in a trade....maybe a 3rd and another late pick? Granted, we do need a QB to get them the Ball, but we know having just Evans as a legit threat does not go well. We need another good one.

You have Wood as a backup? Really? WOW.... There are 2 ways this can go. They can put Wood at Center (which is what I would like to see) and re-sign Incognito to play RG. Unfortunately, Incognito is only suited for G, so to get him on the field, he either has to play LG or RG. I would like to see Levitre stay put at LG, but he may be able to handle RT. It would be interesting to see. They could leave Wood at G and leave Hangman at C, but that may freeze Incognito out since he isn't athletic enough to play T. I would like them to get a proven LT in FA if they can, but the pickings are very slim. Unfortunately, they will probably have to do this in the Draft. I could easily see us going LT or RT at 9 now. Depending on how Bell comes back, he may be serevicable at RT, but I would rather get better there. With Butler retiring, I wouldn't be shocked if they went back to back lineman early int he draft. Either way, I'm glad Butler told them now instead of closer to FA and the Draft. Just another hole to fill, unfortunately.

They will both throw at their Pro Days......this isn't uncommon for top rated passers not to throw at the combine. They would rather have more time to work on their own things while getting to throw to receivers that they are familiar with. This is not uncommon.

Don't rush to get Parrish out of here just yet. I am in no way saying he is going to be a star, in fact there is little chance of that happening, but I actually want to see him in a real NFL offense before we make a final decision on him. The guy has talent when the ball is in his hands and I just think he has not been given a real opportunity to take advantage of his skills. Dicky J's offense was no more complex than a high school offense and he was not put into a position to succeed. Again, I am not saying that he will be anything more than average, ever, but I just want to see him in a creative offense.....perhaps even go in motion once in a while. I think they still allow motion in the NFL, right? Been so long since I have seen it in Buffalo.

Not a shocking list by any means, but a couple of Dicky J favorites!

Maybe it is just me, but I actually think Football is pretty much year-round now. I mean, the season technically just ended, but as far as I am concerned, the 2010-2011 Season just started! We are just 3 weeks or so away from the Combine. Now, I know I am maybe in the minority, but I love the Combine and love watching all that it has to offer. I love the build-up to the Draft and the Combine interests me a lot. Again, I am one of those people that eat, breathe and sleep football. I love it all and I can't wait to watch all of the coverage of the Combine. Then, just a few days after the Combine is over, Free Agency gets underway!!! That is always an exciting time!!!! Now, I know the Bills, in the recent past especially, usually don't do anything big, but it is always exciting to have the possibility of something happening. With the Bills making major changes to their organization this season, Free Agency has the chance to be more interesting for the Bills than usual. Of course, the Draft is right around the corner from there!!!! I LOVE THE DRAFT!!!!!!!!!! The Draft is one of the best times of every football season!!!!! I can't get enough of it. Again, it may be me....a freak fan, but I love it. I can't wait! With the end of the Draft comes the beginning of Minicamps! Before you know it it is training Camp and the Preseason! Sure, some of this may not interest everyone, but I love it all! So yeah.............it seems like it is a VERY LONG TIME before next season starts, but with the way the offseason is now structured, there is most always something going on. Being a Bills fan, I almost need the offseason and the changes that it brings to get me excited about the chances of being a Playoff factor next year! It seems that no matter how bad we look year in and year out, I always find that optimism somewhere during the offseason to believe we can finally break this Playoff drought! This year will be easier to get excited knowing that Dicky J won't be clapping after bad plays on the Sidelines or telling me how tough it is to win in the NFL (while watching other teams win year in and year out without any drop-off) next season! All that being said, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO START!!!!!!!!!!! LET'S GO BILLS.......2010-2011 SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the main differences between the Bills and the Jags is that the Bills actually have fans that care about the team! Regardless of what some say here, that does make a big difference in the eyes of the NFL and the future of this franchise. Unfortunately for the Jags, you can tell the people down there JUST DON'T CARE ABOUT THE TEAM. The Jags could be moved in the middle of the night and I don't think anyone would care or even notice. The Bills are different. They are important to the fans and are a part of the fabric of the community. WE LOVE THIS TEAM WITH A PASSION and WE SUPPORT THIS TEAM!!! The Bills and Jags should never be mentioned in the same sentence (unless we are playing them).

The Bills could switch to a 3-4 if they wanted to and I think it wouldn't take as much work as some fear. The first thing they would need to do is go out and get.........and I can't believe I am saying this because he is so dirty........VINCE WILFORK. I know he won't come cheap, but he is just heading into the prime of his career at 28 or so. Yes, the Cheatriots* may re-sign him, but that is not a guarantee by any means. The Cheatriots* have a history of letting guys like this go at this point. So, this would be the first step. With this signing, I think we would actually have the starting pieces in place on the D-Line. Stroud would make a very good 3-4 DE with his size and athletic ability. He would be fine on 1 side. Williams, while not the tallest guy out there, still has good size and could play the other DE I believe. They can always draft another DE in the 2nd or 3rd rounds that might work as well. But I think Stroud and Williams could play the DEs in a 3-4. Then, the no-brainer move. Maybin moves to one of the OLB positions in the 3-4. From there, the first pick in the draft could go a bunch of different ways depending on who is available. While the chances are maybe slim, if we could pick up either McClain or Spikes with the first pick, I think we will be OK in terms of our starting LBS. We would have Poz and McClain/Spikes in the middle with Maybin and Mitchell on the outside. So, the starting positions would be all set at this point. Depth would be a problem so they would have to do some work in FA and the draft, but in a 3-4 system, our starters would look pretty good, I think. STROUD WILFORK WILLIAMS MAYBIN POZ MCCLAIN MITCHELL Add in our great secondary (I believe our secondary is one of the best in the league already) and I think you starting 3-4 defense would be pretty good. So, while it would take a little work, i think it is possible to put a 3-4 defense on the field that is pretty good.....at least on paper.

I am sure it will get buried and never be mentioned again, but one of the most interesting comments, I thought, that was made during the PC was when Nix was addressing the Bills HC job in general as to whether people actually wanted it. He said something along the lines of getting around 15 calls per day the since the job was open (or when they started the interview process) and that these calls were basically begging for an interview. Nix then went on to say that some of the names that called "would blow your mind" and went on to say it was a desirable job. He didn't name any name, but I sure would like to know who these calls were. Maybe it was just to save face, but to make a comment like that got my attention. I wish there was a way to find out, but we never will. Names that would "Blow your mind".................
