  2. Keep in mind many of those highlights happened when he had a bad toe as well. If he is 100% he won't be caught from behind. Been a long time since we have had a RB with speed like that. Hopefully they can just find a way to get him the ball in space on a regular basis. LBs won't have a chance.
  3. Yup. Byrd was taken slightly higher than many projected as well. So far, that has not been an issue. They got the guy they considered the best NT left on the board. No problems with that. Big dude.........
  4. Well, there's our run stuffer.........
  5. Torell Troup Would have preferred Cody!
  6. I think they will keep dropping........right passed the Bills!
  7. Also, don't forget to add how incredibly simple and basic our offense was under Dicky J! Our offense was so predictable and boring that even opposing defenses were saying how easy it was to defend us. I think Gailey alone designing a completely new (and definitely more creative) offense will increase our scoring average as well. So, a new (probably much better) offensive scheme, a new GAME-BREAKER in Spiller (not to mention if we can add some more talent the rest of the draft) will definite,y help us make up that 7 point scoring difference. I'm not saying we will make the Playoffs, but don't be surprised if we are not as bad as many think we will be. We were in just about every game last year. If we can score 6-7 more points per game, that could lead to 4 more wins. You never know!
  8. BINGO. Looking fast and being fast.........I don't care what way you want to look at it, but 4.32 speed is faster than 99% of the players in this league. In fact, we may now have one of the top 2-5 players in the NFL. And that is just speed. He has all the acceleration that you could ask for as well.
  9. I have been thinking about this all night! All of these so-called "experts" were saying that Buffalo wanted him. Well, maybe they did, maybe they didn't. These guys are not in the war room with the Bills front office! There are so many smokescreens out there and so much false information that they can pretty much say anything they want. I mean really....the Bills are going to call these guys and complain about not getting Tebow? Really? It is all speculation. They don 't know what the Bills are thinking. They probably saw that Kelly went out to dinner with him and they just assumed that the Bills wanted Tebow the most! Look, some of these guys get good information about certain things, but I doubt the Bills are going to call them and tell them how frustrated they are because they didn't get a guy they wanted. It is all speculation.
  10. You're kidding right? You want to give up almost our entire draft for a guy that may end up as a fullback or TE in the NFL before it is done? Glad you are not a GM. I wouldn't have given that much up to get Bradford! HA!
  11. 3 things that everyone has to know and deal with......... DEATH TAXES Cheatriots* trading down about 15 times every year and picking up a gazillion picks every year!
  12. I actually want Clausen more now! Imagine the chip on his shoulder he has now! Tebow taken before him? He has got to be fuming! Big time chip on the shoulder now. Will make him better.
  13. I just hate it when the freaking Cheatriots* keep picking up picks.
  14. Spiller is just an inch or 2 shorter than Jackson and about 10 pounds lighter. He is a TON FASTER. Size is not an issue. Look, you can argue that other positions are more important, but don't use size as a reason to bash the pick. By the way, Thurman Thomas was smaller than Spiller and much slower as well. Don't bring up size. Use other reasons.
  15. NO KIDDING!!!! Man, if they were going to reach that much, they should have taken Tebow! HA!
  16. You do realize that he is 5'11 and 200lbs, right? He is not a small man. He has pretty decent size for a RB. Just as a comparison, Fred Jackson is about 6-1, 215. Not much bigger. Spiller will make plays. Gailey will put him in a position to make plays in space. He will be a game-changer. I am confident Gailey will put a good offense on the field and Spiller will be a big part of it. PS. On a side note, everyone has to remember that this is a new staff and new front office in many ways. There is going to be some changeover of the talent here. The new staff will want to build the team their way. In the process, they will have to clean up the mess that they don't like. Gonna be a process.
  17. SPILLERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. As long as it is NOT Tebow here, I'll be OK!!!!!!
  19. I know a lot of people in various places are complaining about the schedule, but I am actually fine with it. First, I personally like the 1:00 Sunday start times. Sure, night games are fun, but they usually end up with us losing in a different, head-scratching, fashion every time! Always seems like we dominate the games and then just find a way to mess them up when that should be impossible to do. So, i am fine with the early starts. And remember, if we are good through the season, there is always a chance of a flex game late, especially this year with so many divisional match-ups late. Also, I know the first 4 games look awfully tough....and they are. However, playing our divisional games without them having tape on our new offense and new defense could actually help us a bit. I for one am thinking.....and praying.....that our offense is COMPLETELY different than what anyone has seen over the last 4 years. Hopefully, we won't be predictable in our attack and we can catch these tough division opponents before they really have a good understanding of what we are doing. Obviously the downside of this is that we will be installing a BRAND NEW system without much real prep-time against these teams. If we are not executing early, it could get ugly pretty quick. I am actually hoping that we play our starters a lot more in the preseason this year to make sure we are ready to roll opening day. Obviously, we will probably need all of the time we can get with our starters to make sure everyone is on the same page. Finally, I think if we could sneak out a couple of wins over a couple of division opponents early by some miracle, that would give this team some early season confidence that we can carry through the middle part of the season where I hope we are still in it instead of already out of it. Our travel is not bad as well. There are stretches on the schedule where we won't see a plane for weeks at a time. We don't really have any long trips, so we will be at home as much as possible. Finally, the division games down the stretch will be tough. Maybe 1 or 2 of them will have some things locked up, but I am not counting on that. I think this year, more than previous years, there will be more on the line in weeks 14-17. So yeah, our schedule is fine. It is what it is. If we want to be a good team, we have to beat these teams at some point eventually.
  20. Hey guys. I know that the schedules around the league are starting to get out. I thought instead of starting a new thread for each game we find out, we might just want to keep everything in 1 thread. Here is how it can work. As you find out OFFICIAL DATES AND TIMES for games, simply update the schedule below until we have the full thing. I will start it off. Here is what I have so far: November 7th Chicago vs. Bills at Toronto November 14th Detroit at Buffalo November 28th Pittsburgh at Buffalo Simply add the dates as you find them. Try to keep it as official as possible! We'll see if we can put together the schedule before it is released by the Bills!
  21. OK.....Here is the thing. I am not going to go out predicting anything major for the Bills this upcoming season, BUT I think that we all can agree that the main reason that we didn't win more games last season was because of how bad our offense was. We couldn't score. Our offense was predictable and boring. Easy to defend. If nothing else, I think we are all fairly confident that we will be able to score a little bit more on offense this season just because we should have something that resembles a real NFL offense. I took a quick look back at last years losses and I just looked at the games we would have won scoring just 1 more TD a game. The total was at least 4. So, if our offense under Gailey can just put up an average of 5-7 more points per game, we might be in some games. Again, I am not going to predict anything, but I am just hoping that Gailey can improve our offense. If he can't he obviously was the wrong pick. Guess we will see what happens.
  22. I say we at least should watch him practice a couple times before trying to guess at this!
  23. On a Monday Night no less after the league puts out a new rule that states that the Pats* can be the only team in the league to play 14 players at a time instead of the traditional 11.
