Very interesting if true..... Not that I expected that he had too much left, but no way the Bills saw this coming. If they did, not sure they would have traded Watkins. Maybe they would have anyway, but who knows. Will be interesting to see what comes of this.

Yeah....Couldn't miss him out there tonight! -
Eric Wood the logical next one to go?
sven233 replied to Mountain Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point, Shady and Wood should be traded and Williams should retire...... If you can deal Taylor, do that too. At that point, we could give the Jets a run for their money. If you're going to tank.....then REALLY TANK!!!! -
If I wasn't such a fan, I would be shutting WGR off right now. Murphy and Chris Brown are seriously pissing me off right now trying to spin this..... Call it what it is.... a huge step backward this season. To me, the only things that will make these trades worth it is if they finish the job..... Trade Shady, trade Tyrod if possible, etc.... If you're going to take the top players off this team, don't stop here. Go all the way with is and do everything you can to lose the entire season. I hate saying this, but if you're going to tank.....then REALLY TANK.

I called DirecTV a year and a half ago because I was just fed up with paying $140 or whatever it was per month for TV. Had no premium channels, no Sunday Ticket or anything. Just a Choice Extra package that I had originally signed up for 9 years ago or so. I had actually been doing research into all of the new streaming TV options out there instead of sticking with DirecTV any longer anyway, so I figured I had nothing to lose by demanding the world to stay with them. I had basically already decided to leave DirecTV for PlayStation Vue anyway (for just $34.95 per month). Vue offered every channel I ever watched on DirecTV for $100 less, but since it was a fairly new technology, I figured I would at least see what DirecTV would offer me to stay. Anyway, long story short, I went straight to the Retention department and told them I was leaving and they offered me like $20 off my bill a month and some free movie channels for 3 months. I told them to cancel my service somewhat expecting them to offer more. They didn't and I cancelled on the spot. Signed up for PlayStation Vue and have never looked back. VERY HAPPY. Point of the story..... No more than a week after cancelling DirecTV, I started getting mailers (and I am still getting them sometimes 2-3 days per week) BEGGING me to come back. They are offering free Sunday Ticket and New Customer pricing! They keep telling me that they want to reward me for being a loyal customer. Now, if they would have offered this to me in the first place, i probably would have stayed, but they didn't and I don't miss it at all. So, if you really want to stick with DirecTV but they aren't budging on pricing......if you are willing to risk it and can live without DirecTV for a week or 2, you will probably get the same offers to come back that I did in the mail very soon after you cancel. You will get your free Sunday Ticket and new customer pricing for taking the chance and cancelling. However, I won't be going back anyway because I am getting just as good of TV with streaming TV. With my Roku, I pay $34.95 per month for Playstation Vue and get every channel I watched on DirecTV except for 1 (no additional fees, either.....just the flat rate), and then $10 each or whatever for Netflix and Hulu. So, for $55 per month, I have more options than DirecTV could ever offer. I do add on the NHL Center Ice package for Sabres games and all the other games as well, but that's it. So, paying less than half of what I did to DirecTV and have tons more options. Best decision I have ever made. I could add Sunday Ticket through the Roku as well, but at this point, I haven't done it, but it is available. I know this wasn't exactly on topic, but it might give a few of you out there some food for thought.

Games in the early 90s were insane. There were multiple times, even in Playoff games, where the refs would stop the game asking for the fans to settle down because the opposing team couldn't even run a play. Obviously, they don't do this anymore, but there were times the refs actually did this. Crazy to think about, actually. Like the poster said above, there were 80,000+ in the stadium, we were finally starting to win big, and Rich Stadium was one of the most incredible places you would ever want to be. Sure, there have been some loud games over the last few years, but it's nothing like it was back then.

228 pages........ What a run...... If I remember right, though, that is 1 page short of the Mario Williams thread. I believe that got to 229. Guess we'll have to wait for our Super Bowl Championship win thread to surpass Mario's thread. RIP. -
Moulds would have been a HOFer if he had any yoe of help at QB. He was so good,

As long as he was not responsible for the Brock Osweiler debacle, I'm good with him. The Texans have quietly assembled one of the best defensive groups in the NFL. -

THIS BETTER BE A HAUL!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Yup. Pretty much. Nailed the first thing and I am not sure he has been right since from what I have seen. Who knows, though....
-
Yup....been saying this for a while. The Cheatriots take him in like the 5th round or something, he sits behind Brady for 3-4 years while getting his act together and then torments us for the next 10+ years. That is the worst case scenario, so it will probably happen. That said, I am not sure I want to draft him. I am not opposed to it like many on here, but not really sure we should. I'm open to it, though as I do think he has a lot of raw talent.

Per Carucci, Bills now leaning toward cutting Taylor

I don't think the Jets have any plans on drafting Trubisky. They are clearly tanking for the #1 pick next season in order to get Sam Darnold. They are doing exactly what we should be doing this season.......putting themselves in the prime position a year from now. -

For all of you newbies to these forums, there are a lot of positives. Great people with a lot of football knowledge. Oh......and 1 more thing. You can actually talk about Malik Hooker without his name being censored! -
Probably gonna find out in 2 weeks. I don't see any way the Steerlers win today.

Offensive Coordinator candidates

Yeah.....saw this. Surprised it hasn't gotten more buzz. I'd be OK with this. Better than giving Olsen the job. Sure, he hasn't done it before, but that doesn't have to mean he wouldn't be any good. -
We all know what is going to happen here......... The Pats* will draft him in the 3rd or 4th round because everyone thinks he is an idiot and will flame out. Instead, he sits behind Brady for 3-4 years and then takes over the starting job after Brady retires. During his time in the Pats* organization, and due to the "culture" in the locker room, he completely changes his life and then proceeds to dominate the league for the next 10 years. The Bills meanwhile will still have not found a legit QB and are now whipped every year by a Kelly. Sound about right? Anyway, that being said.....if he is there in the 3rd or 4th round, I take him. No problem taking a flyer on him.

Of course we win.......we are the kings of wins in meaningless games. We always do our best to drop down the draft order when things matter the least. The only thing that would make this a good win is if it was Jones leading us to the victory in his first game and he gives us something to get excited about. But if it is Tyrod, who cares......

Right now the Steelers are playing exactly how I want the Bills to play in December and in the elements. It's like the Bills haven't seen snow before. -
From what I remember, he was the one that actually requested to get out. He didn't like the situation he was in.
