  1. Regardless of what happens, he completed 2 passes on his first drive...... He almost did.
  2. In 1 play, Petterman has more first downs that Tyrod had in the entire half..... A couple more and he will have more than he did the entire game. Depending on how it goes, he may end up with more yards as well.
  3. If Petterman does come in here, they better let him throw and not just hand off 3 times. And put him out there with the real offense, not the backups.
  4. Petterman warming up, but the defense probably won't get off the field in time for him to actually play in the game....
  5. If we don't see Petterman in this game, we're not seeing him this year. I think at this point McDermott is scared to put him in just because if he does do anything positive at all, he doesn't want to deal with it. No reason for him not to be seeing snaps in this game already.
  6. Say what you want about Dareus, but the last 2 games without him our run defense is getting shredded.
  7. With a good QB, we're up 7. With Taylor, we're up 3. Need better throws in those situations. Not terribly difficult throws that he missed there. Gotta be better to win today.
  8. Look....I don't know what the medical says about the situation. To me, it sounds like this could be another Drew Brees situation on the surface. You don't know exactly what you are going to get, but if it works out in your favor, you're set for a long time. If it's me and he's on the market, and the chances suggest he will come back at some point.....even if it is next year or even the year after, I am definitely willing to take a swing. If you miss, you miss. But man....if it works out in your favor, it would be huge. Unfortunately, we will never know exactly what the medical situation is. But the team will. If there is even a chance he comes back to 100%, I want to know the cost and it is probably a chance I am willing to take.
  9. Great game. Fun to watch. Both QBs put on a show. Here are the final stat lines for both guys: PASSING CP-ATT-INT YDS TD LONG Baker Mayfield 24-36-2 598 5 84 PASSING CP-ATT-INT YDS TD LONG Mason Rudolph 28-54-2 448 5 60
  10. Thank goodness they got that call completely right after the replay. Great job there.
  11. Rudolph on the other hand is a big guy and is pretty accurate. However, he does everything out of the shotgun and his arm leaves a bit to be desired for a guy his size. Not really mobile. While I really don't think you can improve your accuracy that much, or your field vision, I do believe you can increase your arm strength. And, with his size, there I think he will definitely do that. He's a bit of a project, but has a lot of tools to like. Question is whether he can run a pro style offense.
  12. Yeah.....listed as 6'1".....an inch taller than Brees. But, I'm not sure sure looking at him. Thick guy, though. Very competitive which i do like as well. Will be interesting to see his combine numbers to see how big he really is.
  13. Baker Mayfield has always concerned me a little bit because of his height. We know first had how that can hurt QB production. However, there are guys that make it work without a problem. Maybe he will be one of them. Accurate QB with an above average arm. He actually reminds me a little bit of Brees, but a little more mobile. Definitely a guys to keep an eye on.
  14. And now.....less than a minute later......still with 11:45 to go in the 4th, we have a Baker Mayfield stat line update.... PASSING CP-ATT-INT YDS TD LONG Baker Mayfield 22-32-1 564 5 84
  15. PASSING CP-ATT-INT YDS TD LONG Baker Mayfield 21-31-1 487 4 84 PASSING CP-ATT-INT YDS TD LONG Mason Rudolph 20-35-1 339 4 60 Total 20-35-1 339 4 All of this with 12:30 still to go in the game! The QBs have put on a show. The defenses on the other hand........
  16. He may not be the starting LT because if he come back healthy, they may want him to be the starting RT. Dawkins has been OK at LT, but Mills and whoever is at RG have been awful. They might want someone to solidify that side. Just a thought.
  17. It was almost like he was trying to prove something yesterday by staying in the pocket and trying to be a QB. He's not a good passer. You take his running out of his game and he isn't an NFL caliber player. The whole thing about Taylor is that he is supposed to be able to hurt you with his legs and occasionally make the big throw because teams are worried about him running. If he decides to sit back there and not even look to run, it is only going to get worse.
  18. Not this year..... No QB and no WRs in a passing league isn't going to get it done. We will probably win 7-8 this year which is 2 more than i thought heading into the year thanks to the defense. We don't have a passing game and the running game is pretty much non-existent as well. Tough to win scoring 16 points per game. Not going to be enough. Get a real QB and some NFL caliber WRs and we'll talk again in the next year or 2.
  19. Talk to me after the draft next April. If he gets a franchise QB, then he will have accomplished what he set out to do. Some WR help will be a priority as well, but his main job is to get a franchise QB in here. If that happens, we will revisit this question in about a year.
  20. Taylor was awful all day. Sure, lots of things went wrong and there are a lot of injuries, but there were plays left all over the field. Taylor was the biggest reason we lost today..
  21. Tyrod doesn't throw to WRs anyway.....at least through this point in the season. Not sure how much they are really concerned about it. With the amount of targets these guys are getting, maybe they think they can just stick anyone in there and have similar production. That said, I really want a good, fast WR on this team. Would not only open up the passing game, but maybe help clear the box a bit to get this run game going again.
  22. For all the credit we give the coaches and players for being organized and on the same page, if the Falcons convert there and win the game, the fire would have been uncontrollable. Would have been Rex vs Miami in OT all over again. Glad the players that were on the field got the job done. That said, don't let it happen again.
  23. And the Bills just beat the defending NFC Champs........
  24. Dominating the LOS, running it down their throats, have a chance to perhaps put the game away as an 8-point underdog on the road against the defending NFC Champs and you wimp out. HATE IT. HAVE SOME BALLS AND STEP ON THEIR THROATS!!!!! Now you will probably give up a 75 yard TD drive and let them right back in the game. HATE THAT CALL.
